The teas are exquisite! The blends are carefully crafted for even the most discerning tea enthusiast. Thank you MEM!
This is a truly fabulous establishment. They have so many amazing teas and samples.
Tight cute little store. Wide selection of bulk teas and blends.
Came to MEM Tea several years ago just because it was interesting to see a tea shop out in the wild. Since then I've been subscribed to their online newsletter, ordered several times and am always pleasantly surprised by the selection. Came back to Boston recently for two reasons, celebrate my anniversary and visit MEM Tea! Made sure to load up on the goodies! At the time of this writing they offered some newer flavors of Peaflower Blossom and Hibiscus Lime both of which they had for tasting and I have been searching flavor profiles for after tasting other drinks with these on different occasions. My favorite is always the blue flower Earl Grey, made sure to get a big bag of that! Will continue my membership and look forward to what they bring in the future.
They sell good quality loose leaf teas. I bought decaf English breakfast tea and Earl Grey tea and I really love them. Although their products are pricey, they also have high quality. The people at the store are very attentive, kind and helpful.
Always delicious, superb customer service when I had issues with a package and the best tea in town.
Stumbled upon this hidden gem of a tea shop and was completely blown away! It’s not just a store, it’s a whole tea experience. They have every kind of tea you can imagine, beautifully displayed and with helpful tasting notes.
They’ve got everything: teapots, strainers, steeping accessories, you name it. I also loved that they offer free tea samplers - such a thoughtful touch that lets you explore new flavors before committing. And the prices? Surprisingly reasonable for the quality and variety they offer.
Whether you're a longtime tea nerd or just getting started, this place is a total delight. Bonus: the lighting and layout make it feel like a cozy boutique rather than a commercial store. I recommend it 10/10.
BEST customer service! I used to work at a cafe that sold Mem Tea products and fell in love with my first ever cup of matcha! It was absolutely delicious. I ordered some online and something went wrong but they immediately took care of me! I absolutely love the care this small business puts into their customers, highly recommend!
The chamomile has bugs don't buy

Amazing tea! My husband and I get our matcha here :)
Mem Tea has a great selection, and the sample sizes are very affordable! You can try 10g of tea for $3-6 depending on the style. Its a great way to try what you like before committing.
As a tea lover, this place is a Boston treasure. Has a great selection of loose leaf teas with both decaf and caffeinated options.
You can find MEM tea all over Boston, but it’s much more worth it to come directly to the main location to see the full selection and some rarer teas. You can buy smaller packs to sample and much larger packs for your favorites. Each tea typically comes in 3 different sizes for you to choose from.
Love the new collections of pyramid tea bags, and bought some as gifts.
Terrible hours
My husband stopped by a while back to pick up some teas for me, but I only visited Mem Tea for the first time this week to browse and buy. First, will say the service was excellent—wish I’d caught her name but the woman at the register was wonderful—she spent time with any customer who was looking for recommendations or ideas based on favorite flavors or tasting notes. The store was pretty busy at 2pm on a Tuesday, so she was going back and forth between the register and customers, but found a way to make everyone feel welcomed. I was looking for a mix of herbal and caffeinated teas with some fruit features and she recommended several. Haven’t tried the black teas yet (I picked up Mango and Raspberry on her recommendation), but the Lime Hibiscus Cooler is fantastic—tart but with sweet hibiscus notes. I also appreciated that they had the teas 1) organized around the store / on the shelves by type (black, herbal, green, white)—making it easy to navigate and self-serve if you knew what you might want, and 2) packaged in varying sizes with a corresponding price sheet (sample, 2oz, 4oz, etc.). The prices were reasonable and with service and products like they have, I’m just sorry I didn’t find it sooner. Will be back and if we ever leave the area, I’ll be ordering online from Mem Tea.
