Walked in with some friends and danced danced danced, the music was good enough to catch a vibe. There was enough space on the dance floor to enjoy throwing down even got a lil dance cypher going caught some videos and everything.
The venue is rather small but that's ok, makes the experience more casual. I have noticed this is also a very long standing spot in Boston so congrats to them for holding their doors open for so many years giving dancers a place to stop by and get down

This place is in dire need of a real experienced DJ.

The worst DJ i have ever heard. They played “All I Want for Christmas” in October… straight into Ginuwine. Bad transitions, only played 20 seconds of each song, please get a better DJ on saturdays. Not worth the cover unless the DJ is fire, FULL of creepy men. Why would you play “Shake it Off” on Afro-Caribbean/Hip Hop classics night? :’(

The DJ was just not good with poor transitions and very random song choices, the vibe didn’t flow. Also no song requests…why?? It was okay but could have been much much better. Space is nice and the staff are very chill tho. But wouldn’t come back here unless there’s a guest DJ.
Iconic venue for electronic music
This is the best place to dance in Boston/Cambridge. Thursdays are wonderful and the crowd and staff are always welcoming and polite. Don't waste your time anywhere else.
Middlesex needs to get a clue on Thursday nights. Stop bringing in these lo-fi, slow tempo, UNINSPIRING type DJ’s. DJ’s that can’t read a room or switch up from their game plan depending on what the room looks like. If you see 1 person leaving every 2 minutes consider switching it up. Secondly, no one goes out on a Thursday night to be lulled to sleep. We have our beds. No one cares about the caliber of the DJ or how many followers they have. CAN THEY BRING THE ENERGY?? CAN THEY KEEP PEOPLE DANCING ON THE FLOOR. I stopped entertaining middlesex a while ago and tonight was a true reminder why. Sheesh.

Vibe was average. DJ doesn’t know what he’s playing. Poor track selection. Could have been better. Spoiled our night.

I went for 90’s night on 1/20/24 and it was bomb! Such a great vibe!

it reminded me of my middle school gym dances where the teachers were getting down to 80's music
Truly dumbfounded how they justify a $15 cover to white guy shuffle in a 20x20 single room with some guy in a wife-beater during what seemed to be DJ open mic night. Bartender was nice though.
