After trying cannolis different places in Boston. I can assure you that Mike’s Pastry has the best cannolis in the city! The line might be long some of the days but worth the wait!

I ordered two cannoli: one pistachio and one hazelnut. The pistachio cannoli was fine, but the hazelnut one was disappointing. It wasn’t dipped in hazelnuts at all, which is a key part of what makes it a hazelnut cannoli. For a place as famous as Mike’s Pastry, I expected more attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience was unsatisfying.

Mike's is one of the representative chain pastries in the Boston area. However, its overwhelming sweetness was totally a disaster to my Chinese/ Cantonese appetite.
Pistachio Cannoli: One of the signature products. To be frank, this cannoli was well baked, with incredibly crunchy dough shell which easily fell apart under a bite, and brimming thick ricotta cheese with a slight hint of lemon or orange zest's citrusy tanginess and fragrance. However, the cheese was ridiculously cloyingly sickly SWEET I had never tasted before, so that I could only persist to half of one. Maybe it suits American taste buds more.
Tiramisu: I saw recommendations on the China's food reviewing platform Dazhong Dianping大众点评, but this piece of cake had actually nothing to do with the authentic Italian Tiramisu. As was shown in cannoli, EVERYTHING inside was sweetened, while I couldn't taste any hint of cocoa's bitterness or Rum's fragrance. As a dessert lover, I fell into deep depression and confusion. The only ingredient slightly better was the caramel cream on top, providing more layers of flavor.

They really need to work on their quality control. I picked up a slice of carrot cake and a slice of fudge cake, and neither tasted rich or well-made. Both were overly sweet, and I could actually feel the sugar granules in the frosting. Overall, it was disappointing.

The canoli needed a bit more flavour for the filling.. I enjoyed the shell was at least crunchy still... the lobstertail was overcooked? It was very hard and overall too expensive for each item..

Locals know the Mike's locations outside the North End are where it's at: cannoli are filled to order, there are rarely any lines, and they take cards. Great spot for a treat!
Extremely busy. Looks like giving pastries free.

Just went in for a Boston cream puff and the cashier was touching their face and tried to hand off contaminated food to me. When I confronted this I was treated as I am the problem.
