Mike's Pastry is an iconic bakery originating out of Boston's North End neighborhood. They offer a variety of cookies and other baked goods, but they are especially known for their extensive selection cannoli. Mike's of course has the classic plain ricotta, but they also sell more unique cannoli such as amaretto, limoncello, and hazelnut. Moreover, there are some newer flavors such as pecan caramel, peanut butter, and mint chip. There is something for everyone. This Cambridge location is fairly new, but their baked goods are of the same high quality as the original location, but with slightly less inventory and without the obscenely long lines. My wife and I got some cannoli for breakfast and some cookies for the flight back home. They pipped our cannoli fresh. Not sure if that's a regular occurrence at this location, or if it's because I arrived close to opening. Regardless, it was delicious and our family/friends loved the cookies.

This was ok, but I feel like the image and marketing is better than the actual taste of the desserts. Our family tried many things and found it all mediocre. We may go back if heaven the choice, but would be more selective. We tried a few other less notable dessert shops and found them more unique, fresher, and better flavor. The biggest issue we had is it all looked amazing but everything was hard and cold, and not feeling a fresh as it looks.

Mikes has always been one of my favorite bakeries I loved but this past weekend we went and got a few things and one thing I got that is my favorite is the oreo cupcake and unfortunately it wasn't good at all. They changed the way the frosting is put on. It's not hand frosted, piping bag now. And the frosting tasted nasty. U could taste the butter like it was over whipped. Unfortunately I won't b going back for the cupcakes anymore and that's unfortunate.

Wow, I am so excited to tell you about this amazing pastry place! It's located in the heart of downtown, and I've heard that the line to get inside is often so long that it stretches for blocks. But don't worry - they have three locations where you can place your order and carry out your treats, since there's no seating area available on site. All of their cannolis are priced at $7, and they offer a variety of other delicious pastries as well. During my visit, I couldn't resist trying out ten different flavors of cannoli, including pistachio, amaretto, espresso, pecan caramel, and lemon. I remember visiting their original location years ago, and at the time, they didn't even accept credit cards. But now, all three locations do! I also picked up a lobster tail pastry for a little friend who was hanging out outside the shop. And let me tell you, it was absolutely incredible. I highly recommend that you visit this place, whether you're a local or just passing through. It's truly a must-visit stop, and you'll be glad you avoided the chaos of downtown to experience these incredible pastries. Cheers!

So delicious! I got the ricotta pie, which is a must have to try if you are a cheesecake lover. I almost loved it more than traditional cheesecake. My fiancé loved the Boston cream pie. For $6 a slice, the price is reasonable, considering the large portions and the fact that everything is expensive in this area. Very fast and efficient service!

We sort of stumbled upon cannoli's on our recent trip to Boston. I mean they were on hubs list of things to do while visiting but we literally stumbled onto Modern Pastry's when we came across a huge line while walking the Freedom Trail and then were delighted by the cannoli, a shell filled with utter utter amazeball goodness! Then we heard about Mike's from people we were standing in line with during a Christmas Cruise. I saw them carrying a Mike's bakery box and asked if theirs were better and sure enough the holder of the box said Mike's was the best. Apparently, there is some back and forth between who makes the best cannoli!! lol Well, I was happily intrigued, cuz, that cannoli at Modern was one of the best things I've eaten in a long time. Fast forward a few days, we were on a tour of Harvard in Harvard Square and ran into Mike's Pastry and lucky for us, there was no line. It was like the universe wanted us to try their cannoli. Made fresh to order we sunk our teeth in and once again praised Boston for their delightful tasting cannoli's. Now I am not going to tell you whose I thought was better. It was a super close race. You really should try both businesses and keep them both in business but for me it came down to the taste of the shell. Somebody's shell was slightly better. Eat all the cannoli's people!

The pistachios cannoli was very good. The filling is not too sweet, the shell is crispy and the pistachios is crunchy nutty.

Always amazing cannolis. Good atmosphere as well. They have a lot of pastries that are good as well, but don't get tiramisu from the Harvard Square location unless you like cheesecake. Staff is friendly

Overpriced and horrible customer service. The very "experienced " servers should consider retirement.

Service sucks !!!! An older lady works the register and she seemed to have an attitude like lady don't work if you don't like your job ! It's a tourist trap for sure it's like any other American cannoli it's whatever I've had better in New York ! I know it won't be like an Italy but the hype they make I would have thought it will be a little better don't fall for it it's over priced and not good at all and the pistachio is only on the sides not even in the middle the shell you can tell the oil was old because it tasted like old used oil ugh worst experience ever

I saw that pastry has a very good review. So I want there. Their cakes are not the best. I got 4 Cannoli, 2 of them were fresh and crispy and the other 2 were old and not crispy.
