really great food and service ! the bartender was super nice and the host emma was really friendly :)
The staff made our 50th first date anniversary at this location as special as we could have possibly hoped. They greated us very warmly, asked us about our occasion, served us extremely well and affectionately, the food lived up to my Italian wife's mother's best standards, and they wished us well on our way out. We hoped to celebrate decades of love and the manager Alan, and our waitress, Emily, especially made our evening as special as we hoped it would be.

Food was amazing and so was our server! The restaurant was half full but for some reason the bar was slow to send out drinks. Maybe next time we'll just sit at the bar since it was pretty open. Overall good experience.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Montiverde. We waited 3.5 hours for dinner, which is completely unacceptable, especially considering the quality of the food we received.
Several dishes came out raw or undercooked, and the meatballs were served cold. On top of that, the food was incredibly bland and lacked the flavor you would expect. My chicken parm tasted like craft mac & cheese
The service only made things worse. It was disorganized, inattentive, and no one seemed concerned about the long wait or the quality issues. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

We drove 1.5 hours to eat here, based on an excellent review by The Phantom Gourmet. Our server, Stephanie, saved the day with her friendliness and genuine desire to make sure we were happy. The wine list is admirable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the Cab. On the other hand, my limoncello martini was small and lacked the sharpness expected of lemon. It tasked like it was primarily sweetened mixer and not fresh. Food - I had the bolognese and my husband had the truffle ravioli. Presentation was "meh", with no garnish or offering of freshly grated cheese or pepper. Flavor was decent, but nothing to drive 1.5 hours to. Except for Stephanie's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu, service was overall slow. Finally, the music was inappropriate for what could be a fine Italian dining experience. At the front entrance there is a bar where a private event was happening. We were forced to listen to rock from the 70s through the the 90s, and it was loud.
Monteverdi was a wonderful experience! Service was fantastic, food was fresh, and ambiance was relaxing; I will definitely be returning!

Came here for New Years and was blown away! Super friendly and attentive staff and amazing food also-the roasted chicken dish was one of the best things I’ve eaten in Boston. Can’t wait to come back and try out their beautiful bar and patio!!

We tipped 20% and the waitress came back to us and asked for more. It was incredibly awkward and the service was sub par to begin with. Would not recommend.
Such a wonderful evening!! Food was wonderful, and attentive service from Emily and Raphael was really over-the-top. As usual, we had a memorable and enjoyable experience

Quiet restaurant with above average quality food served diligently at a reasonable price. It does the job.
This is just a hotel restaurant with frozen food. You're in Boston go explore eat some fish.
Very well presented variety appetizers and all should be shared as quite large. All entrees prepared with quality food and HOT, steam came from the pasta !!!
We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Monteverdi with our two kids, and it was perfect from start to finish. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome as a family. The ambiance is beautiful, with stunning views that made the evening feel even more special. The highlight of the meal was the salmon with truffle risotto – absolutely delicious! We left with full hearts and happy stomachs, and we'll definitely be returning and recommending Monteverdi to friends and family.
Wonderful evening ..... the restaurant continues the tradition of outstanding Italian cuisine at the Sonesta. Drinks were well made, nice wine list. Varied menu so everyone was happy with their meal choice. Service was great as well. Definitely will return!
