A fantastic espresso martini! I had the pleasure of visiting Monteverdi recently, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The bartender BAKES’s Was absolutely amazing the Finley, skilled, and attentive. He crafted the perfect drinks and served the food with cares and precision elevating the entire evening! The combination of great drinks, delicious food, and excellent service made this visit truly memorable.

If you are looking for a place with topnotch bartending and crate food, specially I highly recommend Bartender Bake’s at MonteVerdi.
Can’t wait to return soon!

I hosted an engagement party in the Amalfi room. From working with the event coordinators Katherine, Lara, and Cory through to the day of the party. I had more than an exceptional experience. The food is absolutely delicious and we had picky eaters who raved about it. The space is gorgeous and they were extremely accommodating to my family. I highly recommend Monteverdi for your events or even dinner. Thank you so much to this team for taking such incredible care of my family and friends. It was a special moment that we will cherish.

Star rating not accurate. Here’s why. I only went for the bar but did have the focaccia appetizer and that was delicious. Also the wine I had was good and drinks were ok. Expensive but i learned that’s just Boston. However, women beware the bartender “Banks”. He cut me off after 1 glass of wine at the bar at 10pm, they started cleaning up acting like they were closed or closing. But spoke to me like it was my fault I was being cut off. However their hours are until 11pm on Saturday.. so riddle me how the other 2 men sitting at the bar didn’t get “cut off” and another man was able to go in and come out of the bar with drinks at 1045.. so I went back in and asked why not me, and he shoved me off again as if I had done something earlier to offend or upset him. I was nothing but nice and respectful to this bartender all night and even left him a tip because he made me feel like maybe I did do something wrong. But after realizing it was only because I was there without my husband, or another male figure, that he felt he could speak to me that way and get away with it. I hope that management sees this review and takes care of the problem, the hotel is aware of the issue as well (though they are separate entities) apparently I’m not the only one to have an issue with him.

Monteverdi continues to impress! I recently had their Roasted Organic Chicken, and it was absolutely fantastic. The chicken was cooked to perfection... juicy, tender, and full of flavor. Paired with roasted cipollini onions, confit fingerling potatoes, and a rich chicken demi-glace, it was the perfect blend of comfort and elegance.

On top of the incredible food, their signature drinks are a must! Whether you're enjoying a classic cocktail or something unique from their curated list, each drink is crafted with care and elevates the entire dining experience. If you’re in the mood for amazing food and drinks in a beautiful setting, Monteverdi is the place to be!

VELO Vodka

We’ve received so much amazing feedback about our signature VELO Vodka Espresso Martini at Monteverdi, and we couldn’t agree more ! It is made exactly as we would've crafted it, down to the pour of each ingredient!

The perfect balance of smooth, bold, and rich flavors makes this cocktail a must-try. Whether you’re a cocktail enthusiast or just looking to unwind with something special, the Espresso Martini at Monteverdi will hit the spot every time.

A huge thanks to everyone who has shared their love for this drink—it’s definitely a fan favorite!

The appetizer, sides and main dishes were excellent! Had clams casino, roasted Brussels sprouts and wild boar rigatoni, along with seafood scagoli for dinner. Old Fashioned was superb! It was all very good except for dessert. We ordered tiramisu and vanilla gelato with cream and hot fudge. The tiramisu was some weird bread dish that didn’t resemble the traditional dessert at all. Most disturbing, and the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars, was the “gelato” I received one scoop of what tasted and looked like a generic store brand vanilla ice cream along with whip cream and chocolate syrup for $11! Other than that, would recommend for the dinner menu.

I recently visited Monteverdi for Drinks on the patio and then more drinks and Dinner, and can I just say I have not experienced Cambridge like this before! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the stunning waterfront views - it’s the perfect backdrop for any meal inside or on the patio. The staff was beyond exceptional, making us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and attention to detail. Now, let’s talk food! My friend ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese, and it was hands-down one of the best they've had - perfectly seasoned with a rich blend of beef, veal, and pork, and she said the locally made pasta was just to die for. I ended up just getting the the Warm Marinated Olives since I am a light eater, but they were also a fantastic vegan option that's full of flavor and the perfect snack for someone like me. And the drinks that kicked off the evening, as well as during dinner (we maaay have had a round or 2)?! Let me just say, the VELO Vodka Espresso Martinis were the ideal pairing for everything we got - a smooth and rich cocktail that’s just as classy as it sounds. And it's also a locally made (& women owned) Vodka company! If you’re looking for outstanding food, drinks, service, and ambiance, Monteverdi is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!

I absolutely love this place! The service is impeccable, with incredibly kind and attentive staff. The view of the Charles River adds a beautiful touch to the whole experience.

Now, about the food—it's amazing! The Bucatini is an absolute 10/10, and the Garlic Fries are just as impressive.

Whether you're looking for a lovely dinner or a relaxing moment with a great glass of wine, this spot is highly recommended

Recently Opened Italian restaurant in Royal Sonesta Hotel with with stunning views of the Charles River and the Boston skyline. The dining space includes two bars, an outdoor patio, and private rooms, making it ideal for both casual meals and special events.

The food was wonderful, and the Staff are really helpful and friendly. only improvement needed is in their services which can be slow or sometime hard to find staff for order.

This place could me so much better, the location is lovely on the riverside and the room is spacious, unfortunately, the menu is a bit boring and they could do a much better job with the bar. I suspect that being a Hotel restaurant, they need to be a bit “safe”. I hope that they kick it up a notch, as this place is super convenient to me and I would be there often if they did a better job.

Everything about our experience at Monteverdi was wonderful. We sat outside and enjoyed a stunning view of the Charles River. Our server Katie couldn't have been sweeter and gracious, as well as all of the staff. The food was delicious. I rarely eat meatballs but I wanted to try these because they were billed as authentically Italian, and both myself and my husband were not disappointed. For my main dish I ordered the Truffle Polenta and the combination of mushrooms, cauliflower, fava beans and other assorted vegetable was phenomenal. My husband ordered the Roast Chicken and that was also tasty and tender. I forgot to mention the bread that came with the dipping oil was warmed perfectly and so fresh and flavorful. I topped off my meal with the Chocolate Tenerina for dessert -- fabulous!

Vegetarian options: Not sure.
