They made a mistake on our order and I didn’t like the way they handled it. Although their food is okay, they lack the basic service manner.

Japanese ramen located near the Central Station of the Boston Red Line MRT. This time I ordered miso ramen. It has a rich miso tonkotsu soup and a slightly fatty barbecued pork. It is soft and tasty, and the noodles have a texture. Overall it is very delicious. .

The fried chicken karaage is excellent—crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The broth has a sharp, clean taste, perfect for those who prefer a lighter, more refreshing flavor. However, if you enjoy a richer and more concentrated broth, this ramen might feel like it’s missing something. I also appreciate that the noodle type varies depending on the broth type, adding an authentic touch! The staff service was excellent! They had a great attitude and were always attentive, making sure customers were well taken care of.

I picked up some ramen to go in the hopes it would help my cold. I've never ordered here before but heard good things. Unfortunately something must have been off that day because I haven't experienced ramen like this in the Boston area. The broth was gritty, salty, and thick, the egg was weirdly hard, and the pork was tough. I hope it was a fluke since they are just now reopening but can't say I'll try again.

I recently tried Muku Ramen after the reopened, and while I had high hopes based on the buzz around this place, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed.
The main issue? The ramen broth was way too thick. Instead of the rich, silky texture I usually look forward to, this broth felt almost like a gravy—so dense that it overpowered the rest of the dish. The flavor itself was decent, with a nice depth from the shoyu base, but the overwhelming consistency made it hard to enjoy more than a few bites.
The toppings, fortunately, were a bright spot. The chashu pork was tender, the ajitama egg was perfectly cooked, but even these couldn’t save the dish from the heavy-handed broth.
Overall, the meal had potential but missed the mark for me. If they could dial back the thickness of the broth, I’d be willing to give it another try. Until then, this might not be the place for those who love a classic ramen experience.

Appetizers - gyoza and karaage were both good and nice portions.
Got the tonkotsu which flavorwise was very good and the chashu pork, egg, noodles were cooked perfectly.
Though i love a creamy tonkotsu, the broth was super thick which was odd. it was very viscous which overpowered the rest of the good ingredients.
Maybe would try again when they expand the menu.

I was super excited when this place reopened because it used to be our favorite ramen restaurant in all of Boston.
Unfortunately, their new ramen is underwhelming to say the least. The thickness of the broth is quite offputting, as is the taste.
The pork seemed rather low quality and was not the tender chasu I am accustomed to.
Worst of all, they got rid of their beloved signature corn fritter.
Also, I don’t get why they are doing an extending test kitchen period. Their menu before they closed in 2022 was perfect - simply go back to that. Why change something that was already great?

The karaage was excellent. The batter was crispy and the meat was well marinated and juicy.
The tonkotsu ramen had a very strong mushroom taste, which gave it a good amount of umami. However, I will say that the mushroom flavor became a little overwhelming near the end. Really loved the subtle spice of the broth. The chashu was perfect. It melted in my mouth with each bite, and was perfectly seasoned.
Overall a great experience and food.

But when are you coming back?!?!!!
Called to place an order and was told they don't have time to take my order, order online. I guess they are too cool to want customers. Plenty of other places that make ramen that will take a phone order. F@#$ them!
Great ramen dish; sadly no paper menu.
Vegetarian options: They have a small number of spicy vegetarian options.
It was okay. But I expected more! The soup was a little bland for my standard. Maybe it's because I have been to other better ramen places in the past. I had high expectations
