Ice cream taste really good, fresh. Lots of flavors. I was a fan of cookies and cream all my life, but this ice cream spot diversified my ice cream taste. Now, I love tres leches 😹😹😹

Very delicious ice cream!
The mango sorbet was excellent, and the salted cookies & cream was also tasty—though quite sweet, so if you're not a fan of overly sweet flavors, you might want to skip that one. The baklava and Boston pie flavors were also great!

I recommend asking for a few sample tastes before ordering so you can choose your favorite.

três leches ice cream was phenomenal as well as their house made waffle cones. staff was super friendly!!!

ordered two smalls and they were drastically different sizes. almost double the ice cream in one. they seriously need to train their staff. ice cream was pretty good though

Delicious ice cream in the Cambridge area. So far the second best in Boston.

First off hats off to the staff. Both of the women there were super kind and allowed me to try many flavours before choosing. Didn’t feel rushed at all, and they gave some great advice on the flavours. Makes a huge difference to the overall experience.

I ended up deciding on 1 scoop of the Salted Cookies and Cream and 1 scoop of Tres Leches. Honestly hesitated for a long time because the Nutella and Ferrero Rocher was also amazing and definitely a must try for chocolate lovers.

What separates New City Microcreamery from other ice cream shops is the texture. It’s super smooth and creamery but still somehow quick light. In my opinion their ice cream has the best texture out of all the shops in Boston.

The Tres Leches was delicious: great salted caramel flavour with actual caramel mixed into the ice cream. The Salted Cookies and Cream was also fantastic: big crunchy pieces of Oreo, and the slight salted note was a great idea.

The only thing stopping this place from being a 5 stars is that there isn’t any « this is the best scoop of ice cream I’ve ever had flavour » yet. They’re definitely capable of it, I just think they need to « push the enveloppe » a bit further in terms of how bold their flavours are.

Just came in and tried the Newtella Roche which was recommended to me hands down the best ice cream I’ve ever had. The worker was super sweet and really patient. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Excellent ice cream! Always busy. Price point is fair for Central Square. There are vegan options that rotate with everything else. I like the cookie sandwiches when they’re available.

I come here quite often but there’s a new charming young man working that just knocked it out of the park with his customer service. He had me rolling laughing on the floor while holding my ice cream! He even gave me tips on hair care!! I didn’t quite catch his name but he had a southern accent and a smile that hugs your soul :)
Will DEFINITELY be coming back more frequently

OH-MY-GOD!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I get why this was among the top ice cream shops in Boston (though this is in Cambridge ♡). One taste and I was hooked. My favorite flavors are Tres leches and Boston Cream Pie. The Tiramisù was also delightful. I can't wait to go back.
This may be controversial, but they are on a league of their own and way better than Toscaninis.
