Compared to other restaurants in the same price point, the quality of the food here is rather unremarkable. The flatbread was on a stiff kind of lavash that felt store bought, the chicken milanese was covered in onions (I feel that should be in the description for folks like me that don't like onions) and the chicken itself and the potatoes lacked flavor. Even the desert, a banana cake with a scoop of ice cream had ice cream with a stiff texture that wasn't very tasty. On the bright side, the ambiance and service was a delight.
Unfortunately salmon was tasteless and dry. Beware if you’re gluten free, some waiters are not well versed in what is gluten. Was given something that obviously had gluten in it when I was told it was GF. Price definitely not worth the quality.
Relaxing and enjoyable Mothers Day brunch. Tasty and good buffet selection. Excellent service.
Good spot and hotel with a kind staff
The service was good, however the food was not. I ordered steak frites, it was overcooked and chewy - not even sliced over the fries. The steak had fat & grizzle on ii.
Nubar can be truly outstanding, and sometimes it's just... meh. A bit energetic for a Wednesday night, it seemed like there were a few large parties, which made for a somewhat noisier vibe than we'd hoped for, but so it goes. The cocktails were decent, as always, and the appetizer (mezze plate) was fantastic—the whipped spiced feta was the hit of the night! The food, though, was merely adequate. The seared salmon was overcooked, and the pasta was under seasoned and under sauced. We'd come back, as we've been there before and had amazing meals, but if this were our first experience, I don't know if it would stay in the rotation. Also, excellent and extremely polite service with just the right amount of attentiveness.
$80. For a tacky hotel buffet on a weekday is insane. I guess they are trying to chase more neighborhood patrons away. Even captive hotel guests friends are bolting. And no lunch? They are on a Swedish death cleaning trip. Insane planning. Charge less, smaller plates. Bring people in- don't chase them out.
We have come here before, so felt we knew what to expect. It was one of the few restaurants still taking Valentine reservations. The service was excellent, but the food was subpar in both taste and quality. The sea bass had been prepared and in addition had sat on the pass thru for a while. The steak was overcooked and of mediocre quality. We will not be returning to dine here - it simply isn't worth it.
Our server was particularly good: helpful, efficient, friendly, but not intrusive. We had a pleasant dinner and did not feel rushed.
Warm environment, comfortable chairs, attentive service providers and excellent tasty food! Seats by the fireplace were great.

Notably better than on recent visits. Food was tasty and well prepared. Hope this continues.
Very nice Xmas Buffet, unfortunately we never seem to be able to eat enough to make it a worthwhile endeavor. Food and service were both great.
Three stars all around but we'll be back! You know what this place has going for it-- is relatively quiet and you can get a table and that is saying something in Harvard Square.
Attractive, modern decor - very comfortable. Attentive service. Didn't try the Armenian specialties but everything looks delicious. Short but good wine list with many offered by the glass.
Really good food/restaurant for a hotel bar. Truly. Everything I’ve had here over the past 5 years is great. Plenty of good drinks, too. Friendly servers. Just a great spot in a fantastic historic hotel, the Sheraton
