A  reliably fresh poke spot in Porter Square.

For the past few months, Ono Pokebar has been one of my go-to delivery spots for poke bowls, and that’s largely because of one key factor: consistency. The number one thing I look for in a poke bar is reliable portion sizes. When these places first open, they usually get great reviews for their generous servings, but give it a few months, and the portions start shrinking until they’re no different from any other run-of-the-mill poke spot. Sure, creative toppings and unique sauces can add some flair, but if I can’t count on consistent portions from visit to visit, I’m less likely to return.

That’s what sets Ono Pokebar apart. Most of the time, the bowls are served up by members of the owner’s family, so the portions are reliably the same every time. While they might not be the biggest bowls out there, they’re just the right size to leave me satisfied without worrying if I’ll still be hungry afterward.

When it comes to their poke, Ono Pokebar delivers exactly what you’d expect from a solid spot—fresh fish, flavorful sauces, and all the crunchy toppings that make a bowl satisfying. While they don’t have a ton of unique toppings, it’s the kind of reliable place I’d dash to the moment a poke craving hits.

Wow! Just wow. Service was so so quick, I had my food in about 2 minutes. Very delicious. A little pricey, but all the poke places are. Relatively good value! Little seating inside, but not crowded.

This is hands down the best poke in Cambridge or Somerville. The food is great quality: fresh mangos, great mushrooms, and of course, amazing salmon and tuna. Highly highly reccomend.

Not the best boba, the pearls were too mushy. This was my first ever poke bowl and I enjoyed it! So healthy without compromising flavor. Can’t wait to come back. I wish they opened earlier in the day.

The BEST poke in Boston, period! I have tried all of them in the area and always left hungry and disappointed for the same reason, 90% of the bowl is rice with a few pieces of fish. This place is different. The bowl has a generous amount of fresh, high quality fish, reasonable amount of rice and other ingredients that make the bowl coherent in flavor. It tastes amazing and it is very satisfying as well. Couldn't recommend it enough!!!
