Cozy little restaurant and attached lounge in the Hyatt regency. They have a good cocktail list, beers wine and liquor. Food is typical bar menu. Recommend the chicken sandwich.

Who knew the best scrambled eggs of my entire life would be hiding in a hotel restaurant? The Paperback in Cambridge is that girl!!! The scrambled eggs were buttery, salty, cloud-like fluffy perfection that puts every trendy brunch spot in Boston to shame.
The atmosphere is super cozy with a warmly lit sophisticated book theme plus drop dead gorgeous views of the city and water. The staff are serving realness with kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming dispositions and provide amazing hospitality đ€ .
Paperback is the definition of a hidden gem with equal parts comfort, charm, and culinary gag-worthy goodness!!! I would come here again and will be back for dinner for sure đ

Such a pleasant experience! First time in Boston and our bartender Thomas was the perfect introduction. He kept the drinks coming and provided excellent recommendations. Probably the best lobster roll we had all weekend was from the Paperback Tavern.

Great food, even better service! In my opinion there are way too many Karenâs in this review thread. The espresso martini is a 10/10. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Food was flavorful and quick to arrive.

Two stars because the servers were super nice and the food was good, but we ate here twice while staying in the hotel for a convention and had issues both times. The first night they forgot about us and it took them 30 minutes to take our drink/food orders. Then, 30 minutes later, the waitress returned to tell us that the kitchen had lost our ticket, so we ended up waiting another 20 minutes. We got to the restaurant at just before 10 and didnât get out until like 11:30. The hotel manager very kindly comped our whole meal and also breakfast. The next morning, however, my omelette was missing like half the ingredients I requested. They once again graciously offered to comp the food, but I informed them that the food was already comped because they also screwed up last nightâs food. Iâm not complaining about the cascading free meals but I wouldâve preferred to pay for the correct food in a timely manner. Like I said, they were very apologetic and did a great job trying to make up for it, but there shouldnât have been so many things they needed to make up for. Nice decor, good view.

You know when they say a "hidden gem"? I feel like the Paperback Tavern encompasses this title. My husband and I had SUCH a great date night here! From the ambiance to the food...they. did. Not. Miss! The food is actually enjoyable to eat and not just "eh...edible". Coming from a Carribean household where we LOVE our food to be well seasoned, I'm VERY picky about non-carribean food. The fact that all the food was cooked perfectly AND tasted Amazing, blew my mind! We had 4 different drinks, 2 appetizers, 3 different entrees and a dessert. Take their Cacio e Pepe Wings for example; With most American food, I always have to dunk or bathe my wings in some kind of sauce to actually enjoy wings, but these wings at Paperback....I ate most of them WITHOUT the need for any sauce (even though it came with it). It was sooo well-seasoned and had a nice crunch to the skin! And OH MY GOSH, THE LYCHEE LEMONADE! When I tell you they have the BEST lemonade I've ever had?? Seriously..all the words: Sweet, fizzy, refreshing, crisp, tart, tangy..Just, SO GOOD! And then we got to dessert.... the Boston Cream Pie!!! Man...Just GO eat here if you get a chance lol. I wish I could go through all the food and drinks for you all but this is just a Lil TASTE of how amazing everything went. If you're ever in Cambridge/Boston MA, it's WORTH IT to try Paperback Tavern. Take our word for it!

To be fair it is not a â5 starâ restaurant but they do cook up some really good food. I love their clam chowder and especially the accompanying fried oyster crackers. Their cacio e Pepe wings are fantastic as are the truffle tots. I have eaten several meals here in the past year and none have been anything less than really great. Are the food and drinks a bit pricey? Sure but thatâs to be expected in a hotel bar in a major city.

A friend and I had sandwiches and a beer here. The place has a cool vibe and theme, with a nice selection of drinks. I think people are giving their kitchen too difficult a time. No, it's not fine dining but the fare is plenty good for a casual bite.

The two redeeming quality of this restaurant were the beautiful view across the Charles and the fairly quick service. The food , however, was bland, the portions small and the value for money pretty bad. If you don't have breakfast vouchers, consider walking to e.g. Flour a few minutes away or already head downtown/to Cambridge for food.
