Great food, even better service! In my opinion there are way too many Karen’s in this review thread. The espresso martini is a 10/10. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. Food was flavorful and quick to arrive.
You know when they say a "hidden gem"? I feel like the Paperback Tavern encompasses this title. My husband and I had SUCH a great date night here! From the ambiance to the food...they. did. Not. Miss! The food is actually enjoyable to eat and not just "eh...edible". Coming from a Carribean household where we LOVE our food to be well seasoned, I'm VERY picky about non-carribean food. To be fair it is not a “5 star” restaurant but they do cook up some really good food. I love their clam chowder and especially the accompanying fried oyster crackers. Their cacio e Pepe wings are fantastic as are the truffle tots. I have eaten several meals here in the past year and none have been anything less than really great. Are the food and drinks a bit pricey? Sure but that’s to be expected in a hotel bar in a major city.
