It's not a restaurant per se anymore it's a rentable event / workspace very nice with bar and kitchen available for use

This spot is my preferred one. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I go the most. The stuff is very helpful and the food they serve is so yummy. I never decline to have a nice dinner here. I recommend this place with pleasure.

Candle lit atmosphere and good service. The food was good but I don't think it justified the price. This seems more of a place to bring the parents than a group of friends specially if they are paying.

The service was extremely slow. My food was supposed to be hot, but it was served to me cold. I paid a lot of money for sub par service and cold pasta. I'll never go back here again.

Parsnips is situated in a classic style room, low ambient music so that there is no problem in hearing everyone at the table. Service was quiet, efficient and cordial. Food was excellent at reasonable prices.

The food was excellent; both my companion and I enjoyed our entrees. Initially we shared a salad, but we had to use our bread plates. Knowing that it was to be shared, we should have been given two extra salad plates. Minor slip.

This four star review is based on one visit when I had the scallops. The preparation with lentils and root vegetables was about the best I can remember. I dropped one star because the wait staff, bar staff and maitre d' seemed interchangeable so I didn't know whose attention to try for. It's expensive but based on this one visit it deserves high praise.

The room is beautiful and elegant, the service was great, the food was just ok and expensive. This was our second time. The first, about a year ago, the food was fabulous. They had no non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu. We asked the bartender to make one for us and it was terrible.

Easily accommodated our food allergies (gluten AND dairy). Food was delicious, fresh, and well prepared (though we also asked for low salt so they would skip the finishing salt which can be excessive). Service was great. Ambience also wonderful. Felt warm and cozy even though the room is spacious and has double height ceiling. Quieter than you'd expect given room size. Held a quiet conversation at table with no trouble.

We picked parsnip for our group dinner because it had good vegan options on their online menu but when we went to the restaurant they removed all their vegan options off their menu. They were only serving their special Valentine’s Day menu even though we didn’t go on Valentine’s Day. The chef was kind enough to whip something vegan for my friend but they charged $24 for tofu and soy sauce.

Excellent experience at Parsnip Saturday night! First time there, restaurant was inviting, well lit, comfortable, warm. Service was excellent, food was excellent, and it was a fairly quiet restaurant despite it being almost full, high ceilings, and quite a large room. Wonderful experience all around, a welcome respite from the Harvard Square eats I generally find to be either noisy, expensive for what they are, or both.

I was so pleasantly surprised by Parsnip. The space is beautiful and the tables are far apart, so you think--must be expensive! But there are mostly reasonably priced items on the menu. Our food was delicious and the portions were large without being overwhelming. Best of all, it was really quiet, even when the tables filled up. Service was lovely too.

First time. Trying to mix it up because I have 3 favorites in Harvard Square but want to branch out. Dining room is gorgeous. Service was pretty good. Food was mediocre. When you look at the other reviews, the food was terrific or not, one of two extremes. Spent $120 and that included just one mixed drink. Unlikely I'll return.

I get the sense that this restaurant can deliver excellence, but the short rib dish I had was so cloyingly sweet from top to bottom that I couldn't rate it higher.
