I been wanting to try playa bowls since forever and today was the perfect opportunity. I came it at around 5pm and there were a good amount of customers. As soon as you enter the store you are greeted by a lovely atmosphere. The space is not very big, but I would say it is of a decent size and it's also very bright, which I love.The cashier immediately greeted me with a smile, which I really appreciated. As a first timer I decided to go with a classic: the Nutella bowl. I ordered a Nutella bowl but with a base of half açaí and half mango. The service was pretty fast and the sitting area is clean. The bowl tasted to good and fresh. I loved the taste of the açaí way more then the taste of the mango base. The coconut flakes and the Nutella were the perfect addiction to make the bowl taste delicious. I honestly can't wait to be back once the weather gets hotter. (I apologize if my picture is blurry)

A refreshing acai experience in Harvard Square.On Sunday mornings, I occasionally go on Acai bowl runs to try different bowls from local spots around Boston. Since Playa Bowls is a nationwide chain, I haven’t had the chance to visit until recently. With its light blue walls and rustic wooden tables, Playa Bowls felt like a mini-getaway to a Hawaiian beach cafe, and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the acai bowl options here are much more diverse than other local places I’ve been to.I tried the Power Acai and the Electric Mermaid, and both were great. While the toppings were not particularly unique, their simplicity and the mildly-sweet smoothie bases resulted in a satisfying and well-balanced bowl. I especially enjoyed the combination of kiwi, pineapple, and coconut flakes with a drizzle of honey, which added an energizing boost to each bite. The portions sizes were also reasonable for the price, so if you’re looking for a quick and nourishing start to your day, I recommend giving them a try.

Love how there are so many options of bases / toppings and customizable bowls with 1/2 bases. Service is kinda slow even when it's not that busy but they are pretty good about filling bowls to the top. Good amount of seating and convenient location for students.

Their Nutella bowl is so good; my driver just stole it mid-delivery.I have to wait another 30 mins for mine... but hopefully that delivery person becomes a hopeless addict like me and stay up thinking about their nutella bowls from tonight.
