We came here for Easter dinner with a group of 4. The seating area is warm and comfortable while still feeling a bit more upscale - a great location for a date night or special occasion. We enjoyed the dishes overall and appreciated that you could get a glimpse into the kitchen from the dining room. What we ordered: - Tuna crudo: Interesting flavors. The fish tasted fresh but could have used some more acidity. - Fried hen-of-the-woods mushrooms: Nice, crisp, and well seasoned. - Sautéed heirloom carrots: The carrots were nicely cooked but the glaze was a bit too sweet. - Seared scallops: The scallops were perfectly seared and paired well with the lentils and sauce. - Phyllo-wrapped cod: We were surprised how crispy this was even though it was sitting in the sauce. The lobster stew was full of flavor. One of our favorites of the night. - Seafood risotto: The risotto was well cooked but the dish could have included more seafood. - Lemon pepper half chicken: The juices of the chicken soaked into the beets to make a delicious bite.

For a Thursday, it was fairly busy. While we didn't have a reservation, we were invited to sit at the bar and order. Kyle was sweet and kind despite making some incredible cocktails for the entire restaurant. We ordered our meals and enjoyed the atmosphere. The music was perfect in genre and in volume. It did not overpower our conversation. Entrees were divine. While I appreciated my seafood risotto, my son's phyllo-wrapped cod was epic. We agreed to split two desserts. Both the bread pudding and the lemon tart were divine. I was glad I was able to snag a taste of them both before my son demolished each of them. It was a great food experience! I would add another star if I could.

Went there for a dinner with my girlfriends. They had a very strong wine selection. I really enjoyed my wine as well as my food. I topped things off with the blood orange sorbet for dessert which was lovely!

The food was pretty good, but not great. Apps were all brought out all at once including our sides that should have been brought with the mains. It was just kinda fine, or to put it in numbers, 3 out of 5.

Returned to Puritan and Co for Restaurant Week and their 3 course menu was delicious! The mushroom tarte which was creamy and cheesy and flaky and delicious. The swordfish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a couscous with sweet parsnips and a green oil that balanced the flavors so nicely. For dessert, the chocolate caramel tarte was like a gourmet snickers bar with a creamy vanilla ice cream (perfect ice cream to dessert ratio!). Another delicious meal from Puritan and Co!!

Came for Sunday Supper (3 courses for $50) and enjoyed it. Service was quick and polite. Food was decent by Boston standards. Nice ambiance, quiet and modern. Had the Caesar salad to start, which was pretty light, I could have used a little more garlic and anchovy in the dressing. I also tried my husband's clam toast which was tastier than my salad- would get this one again, very clammy. My entree was a crusted cod which was perfectly cooked and came in a savory red onion broth (so good). I also tried my husband's ricotta gnocchi which was nice and pillowy. Dessert was forgettable- we split a brown sugar pecan ice cream scoop and a lemon cake. Both were just OK. I did appreciate that it wasn't an overwhelming amount of food, we were both about 80% full. For $50 per person plus a mandatory kitchen fee percentage, it was rather steep for what you got, so I'd put this in the OK category and would return if I ever were in the area.

Puritan & Co. did not disappoint. The food was excellent, the place itself was not overly loud, and the service was exceptional. I will definitely return and recommend this spot to friends.

Everything we ordered was just delicious. There was a lot of plate sharing amongst the group and I could not choose a favorite. The dishes were elevated, but the fundamentals were not neglected. My biggest complaints about American Bistro in general include over seasoning, or feeling like everything is drowning in fat or salt to cover poor technique - Puritan and co surpassed my standards to a notable degree. Really enjoyable meal, will be back.

The food was quite tasty. However, service was spotty. The staff/kitchen got our order mixed up with our neighboring table but we weren't able to correct it until we could finally flag someone down. My husband finally got his correct order but mine didn't arrive until long after he was done. One apology from the kitchen but no acknowledgment from our server. We probably won't be going back.

Puritan & Company is a very cute restaurant with lovely decor. The seating is comfortable and stylish and the ambiance is wonderful. The food was excellent with the 1/2 chicken moist and flavorful. It was laid on a bed of potatoes cooked in duck fat, which was marvelous, and seasonal beets, which were tasty but far too many. I would have prefered to have more potatoes! The cacio e pepe gnocchi was delicious and the cod on the lobster stew fantastic. Don't miss the Parker Rolls, they are light and fluffy and a nice complement to the rest of the dinner. Try the bone marrow toast as well, amazing flavor that goes very well with the onion jam. The brown sugar and pecan ice cream was the best thing all evening. Truly worth saving room for.

P&C continues to be the best meal I've ever had in MA or anywhere else. The chef's tasting is INCREDIBLE value, it's never the same, and I always leave having had at least one dish that blew my mind. I send my friends here, my family, visitors, or any business meeting boasting the company credit card. Chef Will Gilson is a genius, go eat there if you don't believe me.

My wife and I dined at Puritan & Co for their pre-fixed Valentine’s Day meal. The food was unreal! The seared halloumi was spectacular with the hot honey, the ricotta gnocchi was as pillowy as a cloud, the steak and swordfish were divine, and the chocolate zucchini cake was moist & rich. Looking forward to being back in Boston to enjoy more of their food again.

We went for the Valentine's prix fixe and had a great night. All the courses were delicious and the wine pairings worked really well. Service was great and the timing of the courses was very consistent.
