We started with crab cakes which were wonderful. My husband ordered fish and chips which were average. My daughter ordered the pan-seared fluke. The menu said it had dashi, but did not specify that it was broth, so she was very surprised to find her seared fish in a bowl of broth. I had the $54 warm lobster roll. The lobster was way over cooked and was very rubbery and difficult to eat. In retrospect, I wish that I had sent it back. On the other hand, the roll was perfectly browned and the slaw was delicious, but not worth $54!

Food was superb. Excellent service. Fresh oysters, tasty ceviche, crispy black bass. My dinner partners had the hake (fantastic) and the seafood curry, both were delicious. The music is just a touch too loud for our taste, making conversation difficult.

Great ambience. One item on the online menu was not available, the item I wanted to order. The homemade rolls were very nice. I had the shake which was quite good. In general, the food was a little too salty. The waitress did not ask us how our food was until she took our finished plates. European-level service, apparently.

Was a bustling night and we enjoyed great service. Really a beautiful spot, and the crab cake in particular was very tasty.

Wonderful service and food. The tuna crudo was delicious, and the drinks menu was creative and yum. Our waiter was fantastic - however, I wish the courses would have been staged a little more thoughtfully. A small hiccup in an otherwise fantastic experience.

Overall the food and setting were very good. This was a work dinner and we were able to converse without much room noise. The cornbread was very tasty and a large portion that was more than enough for 2. Our fish entrees were well cooked and presently beautiful on the plate. The staff was very attending to our needs. Though I had informed them that this was my first time dining they stayed very reserved almost standoffish and not very forthcoming on explaining the dishes. But again overall it was a pleasant experience and I will visit again.

I expected more. Let's start. 1. My friend ordered tuna tartare that came with a huge pile of ... potato chips that didn't go with the dish at all. 2. I ordered oysters and shrimp cocktail. I asked for some bread and had to order from the menu - it came as 4 sweetish bread rolls that didn't go with oysters at all. Fine on their own though if you like sweet bread (I don't). 3. When we paid the bills, the waitress asked if there was something wrong with the shrimp. What shrimp? I thought they forgot the “cocktail” and given the rest of it - I was going to let it slide. Well, there was one medium shrimp stuck in ice next to the oysters that escaped my attention. Wow. I typically make much better meals at home. For reference, you need some relatively simple bread like sourdough with oysters so it exposes the subtle oyster flavor...

Service was excellent. Overall the food was great, especially the lobster roll. However, we were disappointed with the calamari, too much breading, little meat, and slightly overcooked. We did not finish it. We'd still come back when we're in town.

This was my first time going to Row 34, and it certainly won't be my last. Eating out can be challenging for a person with an egg allergy. However, they were incredibly accommodating and ensured that I knew exactly what I could and couldn't have on the menu. Plus, everything was delicious! I highly recommend it.

The staff went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional. The cosmos, wine, fries, lobster spaghetti, and salmon were all spectacular.

I have been in Hospitality my whole life. When I say this place went above and beyond let me explain. So this was my first time to Boston and I had to have a lobster roll however, as we all know time flies when having fun and I forgot to get one before the trip was coming to a close. I googled BEST LOBSTER ROLLS in Boston at 9PM last day of trip. Well Row 34 came up so I rushed to make it before they closed. When I got there a gentlemen named Jason Boyd came up front welcomed me and I said I wanted to order to go. There was only one issue it was 10:06PM and even though they closed at 11PM the kitchen closed at 10PM. Well!!!!! Jason went and asked the chef if he could make the Lobster roll and guess what, he did. OMG!!!!! this lobster roll was not only AMAZING but the fries were fresh not some left over fries and the coleslaw was so amazing. Jason was so nice to also add a Butterscotch Dessert in there as a gift and that was so good I licked the togo container... One thing about Hospitality is when you go above and beyond you dont just make a customer you make a guest for life. Well I suggest that you go to ROW34 near MIT when in Boston and if you dont its your lose for missing out on amazing food and service. I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE 10 STARS but google only does 5 either way GREAT JOB!!!!!

My friend and I have enjoyed many meals in Cambridge and decided to explore Row 34.
We shared a bluefin tuna tartare appetizer and were wonderfully delighted with its robust taste, and the cornbread, which was prepared in a skillet. I’d order both of them again.
I asked our server, Marianna, for a description of 2 of the entrees, and she clearly knew her menu. Her answers were complete and informative, which was consistent with the excellent level of service she provided all evening.
I had the crispy whole fish (branzini) and there was enough leftover to take home for another meal.
I’d order it again.
The other entrée was the bay scallop risotto; that was more of a “meh” experience.
So, I’d recommend everything we ordered, other than the risotto, and definitely want Marianna as my server when I return.
