Amazing, as always! Eeyore's Birthday Party (with the ginger beer, made in-house) is my absolute favorite!
Great food and outstanding service! Anna was a wonderful, attentive, knowledgeable and excellent server!
The server was very unfamiliar when asked questions. Two of the three fish selections were unavailable. And servers changed in the middle of our stay.. just a little strange. Being accross from Harvard Square, I would expect more
I so badly want to love this place for Nemo Bolin's creativity and passion for food, but each time I go the service is off. I went this time for Dine Out Boston with a friend who has, up until recently, worked in the industry. I had reserved a high top table, but was once again in booths in the basement near the kitchen. We waited a while for the Maître d', despite being early for our reservation. Our waitress seated us and was super nice, but she disappeared for quite a while after seating us and didn't bring us the correct menu. After that, we ordered, but my companion asked for the wine pairing to go with the three course and the waitress only understood it as one glass of wine instead of 3 for $21. Due to that, he did not get the wines paired with the meal. I know Bolin has studied wine, so that is part of what we were looking forward to. Outside of that, the food was fantastic. The melon salad was SO GOOD. My cocktail was better and stronger than the last time. Everything was presented beautifully. I had the pasta and my companion had the blue fish. I then had the olive oil cake which almost beat out the chevre cheesecake for my favorite desert. J had the watermelon sorbet that had a splash of liquor over the top, and he finished it in seconds. I took my leftovers home and look forward to finishing them for lunch today. I will say, I've brought two dates here and it is not exactly the best place for that. Again, I will give it another try in the future. Maybe for brunch - I've heard positive things. The waitstaff just needs to be a little more together (not that I am). My date, a pastry chef, who spent years in fine and casual dining was shocked that it seemed like there was no general manager running the front of the house. But the desserts, fries, and the cheeses...drool worthy. I want to love you Russell. Maybe third time is a charm?
We brought our 94-year-old mother for Dine Out Boston and had the most delightful evening. Our server, Roberto, made her feel like a VIP—attentive, warm, and wonderfully thoughtful throughout. The Dine Out selections were excellent, and the pacing and service were seamless. A truly memorable dining experience for all. Highly recommend!
Birthday dinner at Russell House was really good. It was a quiet Monday night. I like the options on the menu and will return to try other dishes. The monkfish ossobuco was delicious. I might request less salt if I have it again. The asparagus burrata salad was a hit. The kids loved the pizza and the lemonade slush mocktail. Our server was training another server. They were both great. The entrees took a while to come out, but everything else was served promptly. I am happy to have found a new restaurant to frequent.
Zero complaints. The bartender wad very friendly and attentive. The smokey mezcal drink that she made was delicious!
This was our third time eating at Russell House Tavern. The food was very good (though the bluefish pate was not as flavorful as others I've had). The service was well paced and attentive. Noise level was ok, which was much appreciated, but the overall ambience is kind of dark - hardly enough light even to see the menus. We all had to use our phone flashlights to read the menu. A brighter atmosphere would make the experience more enjoyable.
Excellent service, decor, drinks, and food from start to finish.
Stopped by this restaurant in Harvard Square on a Friday evening and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lively with a great vibe, and they offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite it being busy and us not having a reservation, we were seated right away with no wait. Service was friendly and quick throughout our visit. The food was delicious — especially the calamari, burger, and pizza. The steak was just average, but overall this place is a solid option if you’re in Harvard Square and looking for good food in a fun setting.

Great ambiance, college town vibe, and delicious food.
Julia was our bartender and she is amazing at making drinks! She could literally make anything you ask. She is knowledgeable and so friendly! Will be back!
Had a great time! Have been coming here for years. Friends from out of town were visiting, and we had a quick dinner upstairs/street level on the high-tops! Kiddos and all!:) Food was amazing as well as service!
Friendly, warm, good food!
We popped into RHT because we were hungry, and it was there.
What a wonderful suprise. Everything was superb. The food, the service, the inspired twist on standard sounding food. If you don't treat yourself to this wonderful, wonderful restaurant you are missing out on some magnificence!
