If you’re looking for a place where you can spend a reasonable amount of money to get into a food coma by consuming as much fried seafood as you could, this place is probably what you’re looking for. I didn’t feel great after but the fried seafood platter and clam chowder made it worth it. Our waitress was super nice too!

Get the S&S wings!! The sauce is great, a little sweet not really spicy. Wings came out piping hot and super fast. Staff was friendly and made sure to provide plenty of napkins and wet naps. I look forward to coming back!

I feel like diners just aren't a thing anymore, so I love that this place still exists. Endless coffee, heaping portions (if you want them), and plenty of seating. When it's busy though, it gets busy (though I guess not a place where people linger for hours). Get a knish, too.

A great place. Just 2 regrets: - what they call borsch is not borsch. It should be called beets water with sugar. The rest of the dishes we ordered were fabulous: chicken soup with noodles, impossible burger, rainbow trout. - we regret that we wasted so many years not visiting this gem.

Boston icon, been around 100+ years. Lots of tables and at least when I was there for dinner mid-week, no wait. Service was quick, our server didn't forget a single detail and was present without being pushy. Inside decor is mid 1980s which is part of the charm. They have a full deli also, so likely a great spot for lunch. Food prices were good, quality / preparation was ok, nothing special. Fair value.

I’ve been going to the S & S restaurant for about fifty years and had nothing but praise for the service and quality of the food there (until my visit with my five year old grandson yesterday.)
How you can serve a 9” plain cheese pizza for $17.95, and with the quality no better than that of one out of the freezer of a local grocery store, is going a little too far, and that’s why I’m responding with this email! I hope you choose to upgrade the quality of this pizza (not for me), but for other patrons visiting this this long time favorite restaurant of mine!
Perfect for lunch. Come here whenever I am in town for the past 20 years. Get a side salad and you've got tomorrow's lunch too. Every staff person has been terrific. Solid choice.

I lived near Inman Square in my first apt after college and S&S is beloved by myself and many. But I truly think closing every day at 7 is mildly insane. People commute? Almost nobody could reasonably make a 6:45pm kitchen cutoff? You’re a restaurant in a city, what are you doing? Just close at 3 and say you only do breakfast and lunch. I don’t get it.

Managed to snag a space in their parking lot. Food was excellent! Server was very personable and efficient. I brought home a piece of delicious 5-layer chocolate cake. Couldn't ask for a better experience! Will definitely be back, S&S will be my reason for going to Cambridge!
