Managed to snag a space in their parking lot. Food was excellent! Server was very personable and efficient. I brought home a piece of delicious 5-layer chocolate cake. Couldn't ask for a better experience! Will definitely be back, S&S will be my reason for going to Cambridge!

My wife, 11-month-old granddaughter, and I had a wonderful lunch at the historic S&S today. We highly recommend the Citrus Salad and the Turkey Club sandwich. Both were excellent, as was the service (Jason) and atmosphere (classic old-school restaurant/diner). We look forward to returning for breakfast soon.

Allll of the food is over cooked. Ordered a steak medium, and it came out well done. Order a poached egg and it was a hard boiled egg. None of the food has any seasoning and everything was so bland. The waiter was friendly, but he went missing throughout the whole dining experience. The burgers were so dry and too done. Whoever the chef is should be retrained or replaced.

The portions were so big and soooo yummy! The service was very slow despite the place being kinda empty, but Pat(our server) was really nice. This place feels very homey and old fashioned. The prices are pretty good for the food portions
I got the corned beef hash (favorite), Ma’s brunch pizza (so yum), Parisian French toast, Bavarian French toast
A bit overpriced for the meal size, but food was delicious. I ordered a Rachel (turkey) with potato salad and pickles. It reminded me of a NY jewish deli and really hit the spot. Service was great and I love the interior!

Only downside was they have no drink menu.. when we commented on how unusual it was to not have one .. the bartender commented .. it’s just not what we do since we are a deli” “I have been here 20yrs and we have never had one”.. only reason y we asked for drink menu is because we ordered lemon drops and they tasted like the glass was dirty.. so she did bring us Long Island iced tea and that was better.. but surprised no drink menu..
