Closed location, business owner was too lazy to update their Google listening, wasted $3 on parking.

Stopped back in and the service has only gotten worse. Rude staff insist on seating you in the back when an entire front window is available. The servers remain uninterested and the restaurant still screams TAVERN IN THE SQUARE.

Great food and friendly service. Given that they primarily serve seafood that must be eaten without utensils, it would have have been helpful if they had hand wipes, an alternative, or let the customer know ahead of time. I know we are still in a pandemic...even with that, fully communicating with the customer is important. I was not told about the lack of hand wipes until afterwards. When I asked for lemons..... thy had to “check”.

The best Cajun food I have tasted in Boston!! I had the combo with 1/2 crawfish and 1/2 mussels with Cajun medium spicy sauce and broccoli. It was out of this world!! I had never eaten crawdads before and they were absolutely fantastic! I went on a Friday evening and there was no waits for a table(I had not made a reservation.) I also ordered a Jamison with sweet tea that came in a mason jar.

The spot is right off the red line stop Porter. There was also plenty of parking spaces behind and in front this location. Typically, they are pretty attentive to customers but their service was HORRIBLE. The place wasn't too busy, but the server never checked on us or even filled our water glasses when they were empty. The food was alright. The shrimp was firmer than usual so it tasted like frozen shrimp. The sauce wasn't that flavorful. The garlic noodles were okay and the calamari was the better part of the meal.

I always stop getting some food in this spot. I liked the efficient service and well prepared food. 5 stars.

Omg. A must try. Shakingcrab in Cambridge. We got the seafood special for four. But they were three of us. Got the amazing fisherman punch for two, and an extra pound of shrimp in garlic butter sauce. We stink. In a good way. But so so so full. Amazing. You got to go

The food was awesome, we had a blast

Tasty food and great service. I would recommend against the white sangria, which is white wine with pineapple juice, but everything else was very tasty.

Terrible. Terrible service and food. Our food and the table next to us as well was freezing cold. I did not get everything I ordered and the excuse was "we got busy and had 30 to go orders" so I never received my full order of food and there was no compensation for that either. Service took forever as well. Terrible over all.

I celebrated my birthday earlier this evening in this gorgeous place. I am glad to say that we had a terrific evening and the restaurant was absolutely one of the reasons for this fruitful event. The waiters cooperated in a very nice style, the cooking was great and my guests were so glad. We shall absolutely visit again for more joyful events. Thank you very much.

We got orders of the blue crab with a 1/2 order of crayfish, and the special with snow crab and shrimp. We got the miso flavored sauce for the crab and crayfish, and the house cajun sauce for the snow crab and shrimp. The snow crab and shrimp was pretty good (we liked the spices and the sauces), however the blue crabs were tasted spoiled/rotten. It tasted like someone had just pulled them out of the freezer, and cooked the frozen seafood in the sauce hoping it would become something edible. It tasted mushy and a bit spoiled. I generally like to give the benefit of the doubt, however all the pieces were the same -- we threw out the bag after a few bites. The crayfish came a bit better than the crabs, but overall still tasted mushy/pasty and long past its freshness date. Really a huge disappointment, especially considering the price we paid.Overall, I really question the quality of some of the seafoods Shaking Crab presents, and how they decide when something is spoiled and long gone.
