For 18 dollars you will get a plate of rice with 4 pieces of lamb in total - WHAT A SCAM!!
The actual food arrived is too different from the advertisement!
UPDATE: full refund has been issued from the app I ordered from. Then I received total 10 calls from the restaurant REQUIRING me to take down this review :)))

I tried DoorDash delivery, but the food was so-so compared to the price. The portion size is very small - there are no spoons or chopsticks. The packaging was delivered in a white plastic bag, but the delivery quality for the $40 meal was poor and the food was just so-so. The rice wasn't even delicious! The food that was delivered was all cold and not tasty! It cost 49 dollars including delivery and it was really delicious!!
Food was really good and noodle was great but I agree with the reviews the service is really bad to the point you feel awkward dining in. Also the lamb flavor was good but the meat quality itself wasn’t the best

This Uyghur restaurant located in Cambridge, Boston, has many delicious mutton and beef dishes. This time I ordered beef noodle soup and grilled buns. The beef noodle soup noodles are thicker, but chewy. The rich beef bone broth is added with slightly spicy seasonings, and the flavor is rich and full of beef bone aroma. The beef is slightly burnt, but it is delicious. There are also many green peppers and celery in the soup. , to increase the sweetness of the soup. The waiting time for the grilled buns (samosa) is longer, but it is well worth it. The crispy outer skin, juicy beef filling, and fresh and delicious seasoning make every bite memorable.

The food was good but unfortunately will not be coming back here. The employees need to work on their customer service because they create an uncomfortable environment pressuring to tip. I was going to tip regardless, but there was some confusion about how to check out (since they use an app to check out) and we were met with the employee telling us multiple times to make sure to tip. I tried to reassure him that we will of course tip, but the fact that he kept saying it and justifying his request by mentioning that “servers only get paid from the tip” rubbed me the wrong day. The issue here is this establishment not properly paying their employees, and before customers are even done eating here—they’re being badgered to make sure to tip. I tried to clear the understanding with the employee too but he genuinely was so rude about it and did not apologize even once. For the minimal hospitality you get at this place, and for the attitude we were matched with, I don’t think I’d come back. Fix your system of paying employees and don’t use that as an excuse to ruin customers experiences here.
I recently visited Silk Way Restaurant with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We ordered one appetizer, two entrees, and two sodas, spending around $60.
The food quality was below expectations. The Uygur pilaf was served just minutes after ordering, clearly MICROWAVED and not fresh—it wasn’t even hot. The meatnaan had a bad taste, and we could barely eat it. We ended up leaving to eat at another place afterward.
What made the experience worse was the behavior of the staff. As we were leaving, an employee rudely insisted that we had to leave a tip, even though the service and food were not satisfactory.
I work in the service industry and fully support tipping for good service, but the manner in which it was demanded was unacceptable.
I won’t be returning to this restaurant and hope they work on improving both their food quality and customer service.

I've never tried Uyghur food so I was anticipating this meal however I think my expectations were too high. To start off, they opened late so we were standing in the cold for a bit. There is no bathroom for customers.
The food was tasty and comforting and the signature noodle dish had a unique spice profile. The lamb soup was good and simple, nothing too crazy. If I lived closer I would probably enjoy coming here more regularly for simple yummy noodles and casual vibe, but the service (order on an app, minimal interaction with staff) and experience just slightly missed the mark to make the journey worth it again.

I recently dined at this restaurant and was excited to try their dishes, including the meat bread, Chilly Laghman, Samosa, and Dumplings. One of the main reasons we chose this place was the meat bread, a personal favorite. Unfortunately, they had run out of it, and we had to settle for regular bread instead.
To make matters worse, when we asked the waiter at the checkout for a to-go box for our leftover bread, he refused to assist us. His demeanor was unprofessional, and it seemed his attitude was influenced by the tip he perceived we had given, which was quite disappointing.
I believe the management should address this behavior with their staff. Customer service is crucial, and a more positive approach would greatly enhance the dining experience. I hope they can work on improving their service in the future.

They used to be much better back in the 2010s. I believe it is still the same lady boss, not sure why they got complacent and no longer care to do their best. For example, several lamb dishes are replaced with beef, and that's just not the right way. The price-to-quality ratio is below average nowadays. Yes, they are true Uyghur people, but that does not mean they can do it well without putting in the effort.

The chicken rice noodle was decent- the flavor was nice but barely any chicken. The beef laghman was better, but still barely any meat. The worst part is the service. The boy was extremely rude. We arrived to the restaurant at 7:30 & they refused to seat us in the dining area. They only allowed takeout. We traveled from very far so it was disappointing. They also took our order incorrectly. We asked for spicy sauce and the boy said they don’t give it for to-go… doesn’t make any sense.
