Pretentious. Clearly thinks a lot of themselves. Reservation got us two stools near the door though there were many spots available throughout our meal. Without a reservation, we’d have better seats at the bar. Rubber chicken. Aroncini very good. Maybe we’re just too old!!

False advertisements, came in on 2/23 for the restaurant week/dine out. Management decided to change it to 2/24. Nothing is written on the web or when checking in. The waitress was very good but the pizza crest was undercook.

I really like Source. I've been many times, and have always had a positive experience.

Pros: The food is always good. They accommodate allergy needs well. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Cons: Though the food is good, I do see areas of improvement with meats. I've ordered chicken on a couple of different plates, and though it's cooked perfectly, I find it bland.

The acoustics in the space aren't great. If it's busy in the restaurant it can be quite loud and it's hard to have a conversation.

Wait times for food can be on the longer side (not always)

TLDR - Definitely check out Source. It's a nice place with good food and friendly staff. Every restaurant has its areas of improvement, but I feel the pros outweigh the cons by far at Source.

Food was alright, not great but not bad. Definitely pricey for the quality of the food. There were some components of the meal that were really good (steak that came with the steak and eggs was great) but other aspects of the meal (home fries for example) were underwhelming. Service seemed a bit disorganized. Overall, it was enjoyable but nothing special.

Service was great, very friendly and informed. My partner’s roasted-squash, while reportedly a little bland tasting, did come out cold and they completely remade it the dish, which I found unnecessary since they clearly have heat lamps to keep food warm. They claim they don’t have microwaves (edit: which I have no issue with), so my partner had to wait a little while for the replacement dish.

“Upgrading” the wood fired pizzas from Neapolitan style to NYC style for 2 extra bucks seems like a racket, it’s the exact same amount of dough, just stretched thinner. I ordered the Seasonal pizza and it was phenomenal, although the crust could have been stretched even thinner to more accurately represent the NYC style.

3 stars because food prices are high, but that’s to be expected for the area. $24 for **half** of a roasted squash with minor fixings is a ripoff IMO. The arancini are $5 each which also seems like an awful deal.

Vegetarian options: Tasty, yet expensive with small portions.

The tasting menu is a nice idea, but needs some polish. The arancini were very stodgy and heavy. The fried chicken seemed to be on the edge of being burnt. The chocolate tart seemed identical to what we get at whole foods, and perhaps due to being refrigerated, it was very hard to cut.

We came here on a cold and rainy night. The meal was overall pretty nice. The appetizers were decent. The chicken parm sandwich was interesting and tasted good. The garlic knot bun did come a bit burnt, however, and was too hard to eat with the chicken cutlet. The meal also came with a steak knife, so it was clearly meant to be possibly eaten without the bun. It just felt that the bun was unnecessary and made it too hard to eat. The ravioli was very creamy and had a nice truffle flavor. The pizzas were very good, especially the pepperoni. It was sweet, rich, and coated with tons of pepperoni. The margarita pizza was good. What was a bit confusing was this restaurants two ‘different’ crusts. They charge different prices for what they consider 1) Neapolitan and 2) New York. When we ordered, the waiter advertised ‘upgrading’ to a New York style, and said that the Neapolitan would have to be eaten with a fork and knife for how thin it is, and that the New York style could be eaten normally. This was bizarre, advertising the New York option as ‘paying to be able to eat your pizza normally.’ After ordering both styles we were more confused, because when we got the pizzas, the crust had absolutely no difference, and didn’t seem to be either New York style or Neapolitan (for both pizzas). It was altogether very misleading. The staff here were friendly though, and the atmosphere was nice. It was very dark, and a bit hard to read the menus however. There were no hooks to hold jackets which was a little annoying. The food came out so fast, with the whole meal for 5 people coming out within 10 minutes- the fastest at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I wish that the tables were wider, the high top we sat at was incredibly cramped for five people and the plates and pizza could barely fit on the table. Overall the quality of the food was really good, but there are a few things that could be improved.

Service? Excellent.
Drinks? Excellent.
Apps? Excellent (brussels sprouts are amazing)

Pizza? Awful. We ordered the margarita. Possibly the worst pizza I ate in 2024.

*update* - sorry, not sure how to respond to your response:

The dough was tasty but the center was so thin and undercooked that it basically dissolved into mush. Not possible to actually pick it up and eat it like pizza. The cheese wasn't actually melted, either.

No - I didn't bring this up with the server at the time. We were on a tight schedule to get to a show nearby.

Was hoping to enjoy after getting Source recommended by a friend, but unfortunately it did not live up to the expectation.

1. Pizza came out undercooked twice. First time it came out, the entire center of the pizza was raw dough, and the top crust was totally pale. Bottom had no sort of color either. Sent it back, and the 2nd pizza came out looking much better! Unfortunately it was raw in the center again (yum). Pizza oven temp was reading 420F which seems pretty low for this style of pizza. If you're going to wear shirts saying "Pizza", you should make sure the pizza is good. This was a shame because the toppings were actually pretty good.

Steak/Beef options were "Medium Rare" or "Well Done". Huh? I've never seen a restaurant only offer two doneness levels. Alas, my table mates each picked medium rare. One food came out rare, the other came out well done. Again, if you're going to limit options or advertise one food specifically, make sure it's done well.

2. IF food is taking a while to come out, or food is improperly cooked , even for a larger party, accountability goes a long way! Nobody really seemed to care that we were having an unpleasant experience. Spoke with our own server who was happy to have the pizza remade, but the host couldn't have cared less about the beef. Food also came out a bit slowly, no real issue there, just a bit confusing on a slow Sunday night

3. Please get some coat hooks or something...nobody likes eating dinner with their winter jacket on their lap. I recognize there are tiny hooks under the table, but they put the jacket literally between your legs. Replacing the back-less high top stools with backed stools would also solve this

Was hoping to like this place more after seeing a few videos on instagram about the pizza. I would go again if I was already in the neighborhood but only for drinks and apps. The whipped ricotta was great but the pizza was not worth it to us. It was too sweet and bland in our opinion. I had my leftovers the next day and liked it better on the second day than in the restaurant. The staff was really nice and attentive though while we were there.

We went for their 3 course dinner for Me & You Mondays after I came across a tiktok and thought not bad for $26. It’s something relatively new that they started according to the server.

I’ll talk about the food before I get to the service….

My boyfriend and I split our 3 courses.
Course 1: Whipped ricotta (10/10) Chopped Salad (9/10). Loved both! The whipped ricotta is a must. The bread is fresh and the fig&honey with the ricotta is just scrumptious.

Course 2: Margherita pizza (6/10) and Tagliatelle Primavera (9/10).
The tagliatelle is spicy which our server warned us when asked and she was definitely right. If you like a kick to your pasta, this was very good. Not a super big portion but would get it again. The pizza on the other hand I was extremely disappointed by especially hearing from people that their pizza is good. It tasted like it was tomato paste on the pizza… wouldn’t recommend.

Course 3: Mango passion fruit cheesecake (6/10) and Tiramisu (2/10).
The desserts are definitely not a highlight. I’ve had a good amount of tiramisu in my life and this ranks quite low on the list considering it tasted like just cream. The cheesecake was alright especially compared to the tiramisu.

The food overall, 8/10. Lost points due to the lack luster dessert. If I were to come again, I don’t think I would do the courses as I could get an appetizer and entree for a similar price since the dessert was not worth it.

What disappointed me the most was the service. It was a busy day and I think they weren’t prepared for the crowd that this promotion would give them (considering it’s fairly new). When we got seated outside (didn’t make a reservation), we didn’t get water until 10 minutes in. Our appetizers took a “normal” amount of time to get to us, as did the mains. However after we finished our main course, we asked for a water refill and didn’t get one for 30 minutes! We didn’t even see our waiter for a good duration of time to ask her. It also took our dessert 30 minutes to come out too (after they cleared our plates) which is a bit absurd of time considering the dessert was probably prepared ahead of time. I eventually had to ask another waiter to get our water that was just a jug outside (I could have gotten up and filled it myself…) I had to go inside and ask our server for the check just to ensure we weren’t waiting another 20 minutes. It was pretty cold and they didn’t have heat lamps, only a few blankets that were all used up. Our server informed at the end that they were short staffed which I totally understand, it just would have been nice to know that at the beginning. Know that 20% gratuity is automatically added due to it being prefix.

After course 1, we said we would want to come back especially if they rotate the prefix menu but after the service given, I’m not so sure about that. Just be prepared to eat for 20 minutes and be waiting for an hour.

Ordered a salad with salmon. Received a 2 inch tiny piece of salmon and lettuce. It was good but not $41 dollars good! Outrageous price and charged a 4% kitchen fee on top of the crazy price for basically lettuce. Will not be going back.

I rarely give out 5 stars. For our dinner, pizza, eggplant and burger, it was great. Beware party of 4 is a 20% tip plus 4% for the kitchen. I would go again.
