What an incredible dining experience! Talulla will leave your palette wanting more after experiencing sensational flavors, food composition, restaurant milieu, and the visual beauty of each dish, that is at the heart of Talullas chef and team. The wine list is carefully and creatively curated and from the moment you walk in, this small inviting quaint beautiful space will make you feel like you’re experiencing something different. The house made bread was delicious with a delightful crunch on the crust. We loved the scallop appetizer, ravioli, and beet salad. Everything on the menu looked and sounded amazing and it’s no wonder this restaurants chef is in the running for a James Beard Award and recognition. If you’re lucky enough to get a reservation, definitely check out this place - the food is out of this world!

I loved the bread and herbed butter and the Negroni was fantastic. Unfortunately the crunchy salad was disappointing. Not enough flavor/dressing. And the ravioli (ricotta, mint) was similarly uninspiring and lacking in flavor. I came due to the James Beard buzz and left rather puzzled.....

Absolutely excellent meal with an excellent team. Starting with the amazing bread and butter and a ln orange creamsicle (adult version of a childhood favorite). Then the broccoli salad with poached egg (poached expertly creating a creamy sauce). I had the fusilli broccoli- home made pasta dressed beautifully. My husband had the chick pea stew - whole chick peas made this his favorite. Finished with delicious double chocolate chip cookies. Can’t wait to go back!

I really really wanted to like this restaurant. We live in the area and have been planning to have dinner at Talulla since we moved to Cambridge. The opportunity presented today, Valentine’s Day. My husband and I went with high expectations due to the reviews and the recent semifinalist nomination for the James Beard Award for best chef in the Northeast region. Unfortunately, the experience fell short. Food: We had the Valentine’s Day 4 course menu. Both of us did not like any of our dishes veg and non-veg options. We actually didn’t finish some our dishes. Dessert was OK. The wine pairing was fine, but the guy that served our wine could really improve on his wine presentation skills. Otherwise, the servers were nice and attentive. Overall, we left the restaurant feeling disappointed.

I've been waiting to try this place for a long time, when I found dinner reservation for Valentine's dinner I was really looking forward to it. I love the story behind the chef and the restaurant and I am in support of small businesses hence my 3⭐ instead of a 2. Our dishes were lacking. The fregola stew tasted very industrial/chemical. The only dish I liked was their broccoli and fried egg salad. The risotto was lacking flavor, the flour less chocolate cake wasn't tasty either. Even the bread basket was cold and the core of the bread was moist. I am hoping the person serving wine is not a sommelier as he had nothing to say about the wines other than the geographical location of their origin. Unfortunately we had to leave most of our dishes. I would recommend the restaurant to others so they can try their regular menu and this is probably an exception from their norm.

Elite dining experience top to bottom. Service, ambience, drinks, and food all top notch. The chefs do a fantastic job incorporating unique, unexpected ingredients to elevate familiar dishes. For instance, some of their pasta dishes (all house-made pasta) incorporate Japanese flavors in creative and smart ways that enhance the dish. The dishes were executed and plated beautifully. The portions are also very healthy for the price, and the bread course (warm homemade focaccia and sourdough with honey butter) was simply stellar. The front of house staff was warm, passionate, and knowledgeable on all facets of the food and drink program. Can’t say enough good things.

Talulla might be one of the most expensive restaurants in Cambridge; however, it manages to be good value-for-money because the quality is exceptionally high. It is the perfect place to go when you want to treat yourself. The staff were true

Just the type of restaurant I've been looking for. Small space, intimate and attractive environment, friendly and attentive but but too attentive service with beautifully presented and delicious food with lots of seasonal and local influences.

Talulla restaurant sits in a quiet neighborhood, and at first, I thought we were going the wrong way. It was a warm evening, so we sat outside. We chose their set menu, and it turned out to be a good decision. We began with the spicy scallop dish, which was nicely balanced by the rich foie gras on brioche that came next. The ravioli portion was big, and it had both smoky and tangy flavors. The ribeye steak was outstanding, especially its crispy crust. We finished our meal with the intense panna cotta dessert. The service was friendly and not pushy. Now, about the prices – dining in Boston can be expensive, but Talulla's set menu is one of the more affordable options we've found. We paid about $270 for two set menus, two cocktails, and a big bread basket, which was quite generous. In short, I highly recommend Talulla for a great dining experience in Boston. You'll get delicious food, friendly service, and reasonable prices in a cozy setting.

This is a small neighborhood restaurant - a location hosted by previous restaurants. The ambiance is minimal and no fuss. The staff were friendly. Once seated, we waited 30 minutes which would be fine if I had a cocktail. When I flagged our server down, he told us they were struggling with the outdoor seating. All I wanted was communication and a cocktail. We ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The food was inconsistent- some was outstanding and others not do much. One of the wine pairings was undrinkable and the waiter insinuated that we had unsophisticated palates and maybe so, but don't tell us that. The most egregious plating was the dessert. How does a chef serve a complete and utter mess?Bottom line - maybe if I lived in the neighborhood, I would come but certainly not a destination visit.
