Lots of space to have a good time regardless if I am working or visiting! Great clientele and staff! I actually work here, but I'm also a long-term customer who has tried other locations in addition to all sorts of foods and desserts. Tatte is one of my favorites and I'm a big fan!
Love the pastries and coffee! The customer service at this location was pretty disappointing compared to others.
Excellent
It was good. Definitely for the younger scene
Almost always delicious! Amazing treats and the shakshuka is delicious! I recommend taking it to go for a picnic in Cambridge Crossing Park.
Cozy spot with great vibes and even better breakfast. Came here just for the “Egg in the Hole” — worth the extra walk! Fresh Jerusalem bagel with sunny-side eggs and veggie salsa hit the spot. Cinnamon roll and coffee sealed the deal. Not all Tatte locations have the full menu, so check ahead!
This spot needs to hire some new people. I ordered my breakfast to stay. Found a table, which was dirty from oil and crumbs from the previous customers. I went back to where 4 servers were just standing and chatting and asked if I can get wipes to clean the table. Instead of saying “oh no, let us help you clean”, one of them shrugged and said there are napkins (dry, mind you) by the door and I can use those to clean. Fine. Then one of the servers brought my omelette and side dishes in a to-go bag. I stared at him and said I ordered to stay. He said he knows but only his manager can plate the food and therefore I have to eat it from these plastic containers. I looked inside and my runny omelette was in a separate plastic container. The rest of the food was also in separate plastic containers; some of it very cold. I refuse to eat a hot runny omelette from a plastic container that’s leaching chemicals into the egg. So gross, so unappetizing.
I ended up talking to a 3rd server and asked to return this mess and get my order on an actual plate. I also asked to not simply be given back this plastic leached omelette- and if I may get a freshly made omelette. She looked at me like I am an alien and was surprised that I didn’t want to eat that delicious sight. They did eventually give me a new (?) plate of food and apologized. Which was very nice. But how much spit was in my food? Only god knows.
Have always been a fan of Tatte, even as basic as it is, the food is always great. This location is spacious with lots of seating available in the outdoors area too.
There was chickpeas in my maple chicken rice
The proportions of protein to rice was 1:1 which was not good

If you like bougie cafes, check it out. They have a good variety and I love their seasonal options. You might spend $20-30 on just yourself. A good place to study or remote work.

Overall food looks better than it is. Pistachio latte was nice. Potato latkes were cold and tasted stale—did not finish them. The rest was just ok.

I like Tatte so I often visit when I'm in Boston. First time at this location and it was nice, very sunny around lunch time, open high ceilings. Space to sit but still pretty busy.
I tried the potato shashuka. Wow it is very rich, good, and fyi the eggs are kinda raw-ish or just a little bit cooked. I asked for no bacon. I'm not sure if there is bacon in the potato sauce....
Came out to around $20 for this and a simple tea.

The food, pastries, and bread are amazing. I can't say the same for the coffee. Literally, multiple times, your coffee is made wrong, or not how you wanted it, and it tastes "off." All I get from the batista is,"but that's not what you wanted." I mean, obviously, because the drink was submitted wrong. But who cares? Not the cashier after trying to nicely repeat what I wanted 4 times for confirmation.
It's a shame because the food is awesome. But it's not worth putting a damper on your day. Coffee is a sacred daily kickstart. After three consecutive frustrating visits, i will not be returning, and I can't wholeheartedly recommend this to other travelers. Sorry.
