The Druid, in Cambridge.

A Druid is a priestly class in ancient Celtic culture.

There is something special about this pub.

Friendly neighborhood pub. A warm atmosphere inside very inviting. Greeted by the bartender. We were promptly offered service , drink and food.

I had a craving for a hearty Irish stew. Not disappointed. Fantastic! A pint of Guinness and a couple of slices of warm brown bread too. Filling serving size. No skimping here.

Also had the fish and chips and a chicken soup, Druid chips. None disappointed, and very satisfying.

Excellent service.

It's a quaint place; pretty much everyone was eating at the bar at the time I came. My dad had a great burger and fries while I had a sad oxtail soup that was barely seasoned with salt and featured half-cooked vegetables. The bartender/waiter offered me some bread to go with the oxtail soup, but it could not save the soup. The bread was similarly pretty sad, slightly sweet in the wrong ways, uncomfortably chewy, dense, and cold. It was possibly stale, but I couldn't tell past the other characteristics. Also, none of the pens for signing and writing in the tip worked for some reason. Seemed like a nice place with a sense of community, but the food could use some work.

perfectly poured guinness, REAL shepherds pie, this place is seriously great. Handicap accessible door is in the back of the building, it’s a black and red door.. a little weird to find if you’ve never been. Other than confusion getting in the place it is absolutely perfect.

A couple pints of Guinness, served alongside the fish and chips or the Shepherds pie is a divine experience.

This place has been on my list for a long time. I was not disappointed. The Irish stew and seafood stew were amazing. Also had the best Guinness pint since Dublin. Jackie our server was super good. What a great place.
