Definitely worth a five star. Can’t go wrong with oysters, fish \\u0026 chips, lobster bisque, crab cakes, chow etc. I bring my family here when they are in town. Amazing. Fabulous servers. My mouth is drooling as I type.

Food is awesome! We tried chili lobster with bok choy, seared scallop and grilled oyster. These are all so tasty. And the service and vibe is also great! Will definitely come back and check other appetizers.

My boyfriend and I came to the Hourly Oyster House on New Year's Eve for oysters. They have the best selection around! They had a special where you could order two of each with 8 varieties. This was a great way to get a taste of oysters around New England. Our favorite were the Savage Blondes which come from Savage Harbour Bay, PEI. We sat at the bar and had a few mixed drinks. Our service was great. I highly recommend the Hourly Oyster House.

We went there for lunch this pst week! We were a party of 6 and decided to have our office annual holiday lunch here. We started with fresh oysters which were just wonderful! We tried different types and sizes! They all tasted fresh and wonderful! After all it is an oyster house! As for my main course, I went with the lobster roll which was just pure lobster love! Chunks of real lobster meat with a touch of mayo and excellent French fries. The lobster was fresh and tasted as it should! Overall we had a wonderful experience and would love to come back!

I was really excited to try this spot unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. Service was slow, oysters weren't shucked properly (still clinging to shell and shells in it), and average food. The exception on the food was the paella, which was very good, so I'd recommend going on a Friday night to get that. The drinks were also very good, although served very slow too. If booking, get a high top in the front area, which is much warmer and lively. The back booths and tables are a bit forgotten,.

I'd go back to this oyster bar for oysters and the bar. The food was okay. They had an impressive variety of oysters, even for an oyster bar. I went with a friend who had never had oysters before, and it was a great introduction. For our entrees, I had the scallops. They came with polenta, which was bland. For $26 for four scallops, I expected better. My friend's "BLT" came with hardly any bacon and a salad that was literally only lettuce. We sat outside, trading the indoor decor for people-watching from an adorable heated alley. It was heated just barely enough to be comfortable. Our service was very good. Overall, I'd go back, mostly for the oysters and the bar. I'd pass on the entrees, but this place has enough other strengths to deserve four stars.

Beat seafood experience of my life. Coming from the Midwest, we don't have fresh fish experiences and I had no idea that there are VARIETY of oyster! Everything was delicious, on point, and well worth it all! If you're sitting at the bar, make sure to stalk your seat! They get snapped up quick!

The lady that brought them out to me was cheery and informative. All were good tho I think the smaller ones were the best. Then out came the Lobster Bisque. Presented with care. Rich flavor but not too heavy and a nice portion of lobster. It had a subtle green puree throughout the soup and an fresh herb on top that added freshness. A well spent $26 for a great meal and service. A quality candy melt was given at the end. Will be back and I'll bring a friend.

One of the best clam chowder and lobster rolls I've had to date. Wouldn't have found this hidden gem if it hadn't been for making a simple wrong turn down the alley. Has more of a pub feeling vibe from the olden days and the atmosphere is great, very chill and relaxed. Ordered the Banker's Lunch, bowl of clam chowder and grilled cheese sandwich & lobster roll on the side. Bit pricey, but it doesn't take away from the quality of the meal. Service was great, definitely recommended if just for that alone. Location is good for first dates or casual outings with friends or family. Don't pass this lovely place if you're in the area!

Excellent service combined with interesting and tasty food make this one of the new places to be in Harvard Square. Try the outstanding clam chowder, the grilled lobster chili, and of course, the oysters.

The best oysters I've ever had. Really fresh with a great variety. My girlfriend and I got a caesar salad, curried mussles, clam chowder and 4 of each oyster on the menu. 2 drinks, although the drinks were great the portion was on the small side. Over all it was a good experience, the service was good, water on point, which I love from a place. I would go back and get full on oysters haha

My partner and I went here for dinner on a Friday night. We had a reservation at a high top, but they accommodated us when we showed up 20 minutes early and asked for a regular table. We had a local cider that was very good. He had clam chowder and I had a lobster roll. The lobster roll was pretty good. I wasn't a huge fan of their flavoring, but the lobster itself was good and tasted fresh. My partner really enjoyed his clam chowder, although it was his first time having clam chowder so he doesn't really have a frame of reference. As someone who loves clam chowder, I thought it was OK. The food came out very quickly. The french fries that came out with the lobster roll were very good. Overall, it was good, no major complaints, but won't be something I remember and revisit whenever I'm in Cambridge.
