Amazing unique craft cocktails, outstanding food and a lovely ambiance. John who works at the downstairs bar was absolutely fantastic! A super talented mixologist, he manages to keep up with the whole floor in such a seemingly effortless manner, you'd think he has an extra set of invisible hands, just wow! Will be back soon for sure!

Drinks were solid. The messy fries had a spice that was indigestion- able. Po boy oyster sliders had some flavor but lost with the heavy sauce pour.

Amazing cocktails and equally great food. Small-medium plates so easy to share. Loved everything.

It's a small menu, but all the food was very good. The fried chicken sandwich was particularly excellent. Myself and another of our party agreed it was the best one we'd had.

Headline: Seriously overcooked burgers and apparent indifference from staff and kitchen. This is a lovely space and atmosphere. Drinks were fine. Server was mostly fine at first. Three of us ordered the Alden burgers. Two of us shared the Brussel sprouts as a side. The burgers were all ordered medium rare. Mine came well done, another came medium well, and the third was between medium and medium rare. When the server came by I showed him my burger noting that it wasn't medium rare. My friend with the seriously over-cooked burger also chimed in. Without apology, the server said he would let the kitchen know. He made no offer to replace the burgers or to do anything about this. I waited for the server to return, eventually gave up and just ate the burger - it seemed nicely constructed, but the overcooked meat ruined it. The server never followed up with us about the burgers. Nothing on the bill reflected the problem.

Quick dinner in Harvard square before heading to airport. Really nice decor and location. Wine list was good and lots of good cocktails. Out of kale salad. Rest of the food was amazing. Deviled eggs were very unique. Only thing we didn't care for was the chicken sandwich. Little bit too smokey.

We love Longfellow but the table next to bar on 2 nd floor is super annoying! It's very unstable ! Please fix !

Came here for drinks prior to dinner.

The overall vibe was great - definitely one of the better cocktail spots in Boston. The bartenders were really nice and helpful, and did a really sweet job of service considering we weren't sitting at the bar.

The waffle fires were good, maybe I would get the loaded ones next time!

My word, the horrible service. We had a reservation, and were two minutes past the 15 minute window so the reservation was given away. Fair enough. While telling us we lost the reservation, the manager was incredibly patronizing, and offered no help. We checked online and saw another reservation for 30 minutes later. Luckily, we thought to call the restaurant to confirm the new reservation, and were rudely informed there was no reservation and the online system was mistaken. From top to bottom, in both interactions of the night, the staff was rude and unhelpful. Forget this place, go somewhere else.

Returning customer, love this place and the food is delicious. Usually have a great experience but my word, unfortunately one of the hosts tonight was super rude to my group. We were late for our res and they gave up our table — no problem at all, totally understand the policy, but the host was rude and unhelpful about it. We left and saw there was another reservation available online, called ahead to see if we could sit to make sure, and was again met with condescending anger from the same host over the phone telling us that there’s no availability. Everyone has bad nights but that was overall a very unwelcoming experience.

Went there for New Year's Eve. Some of the snootiest wait staff I've ever interacted with...I can say this having worked in a solid number of restaurants. The bartender in particular was incredibly unwelcoming to our group--not a single smile or welcome, a terse request to see ID, essentially rolled his eyes when someone equivocated on a drink order. Yelled at us that we could not stand too close to a set of reserved tables, where guests had not yet arrived. And to boot, the drinks were way too sweet.

I miss when this place was the old Algiers Cafe. We replaced a welcoming student-oriented coffee shop with this place (?) that serves overpriced/low quality drinks and caviar plates? Harvard Square has lost its way big time. I want my city back.

Food and drinks were good . Sat at the bar upstairs and the bartender was just cranky and not friendly at all. His “mixing” station was directly in front of us . All night we stared at his “not so friendly face”and just wasn’t a good vibe . Not a single smile . Not even a “good night” as payed the bill and headed out . We didn’t expect him to entertain us , but zero personality all around .its as if he was making an effort to be grumpy and does not enjoy his job- or even pretend. We were there the night before Halloween celebrating my friend’s birthday . She researched this place tons and picked it for the ambiance . The food and cocktails delivered. Service was Extremely disappointing. Our bartender seemed to have been training another colleague of his . The trainee was perfectly pleasant and sweet . He actually made the night a little more enjoyable . We will not return , despite enjoying the food very much!

Come here for the ambiance, stay for the service.

A solid shoutout to Theo and his genuine hospitality. The food & drink options have much to offer and he clearly takes pride in the execution of his cocktails. The staff is kind, warming, and best of all unpretentious.

Need a solid option, start with Theo’s pick, his Daiquiri riff. It’ll be the right way to start your night and let the staff take you from there.

Cheers from Chi town and much love for the hospitality ❤️??
