This place USED to be really good, delicious food and drinks. But my recent visit was a hugeeeee disappointment. I don't know if there's been a change in ownership or chefs but all the food was bland and tasted unseasoned, basically like tomato sauce from the basmati to the curry to the masala. The only thing I really enjoyed was my mango lassi with ginger added.

The naan was a little burnt. Otherwise, everything was good. The approach to the restaurant was quite unique after entering the building compared to others. Tomato soup was really good.

Great location with big windows overlooking Harvard Square. Friendly, efficient service. Generally good Indian food but something seems to have changed in the last year or two. Prices have gone up more than in other comparable restaurants, with no discernible improvement in food quality. In fact, we were quite surprised to be served a Chicken Jalfrezi that did not pack any sort of punch and was filled out with zucchini, carrots and green beans.
If I had “0” star would have given that! Owner has next level arrogance. I ordered paneer makhni, how bad it could go? It was horrible. Dont recommend at all. If Jain/ no onion no garlic, dont even think about this place.

Amazing food and excellent service. We ordered tomato soup, tofu tikka masala, naan, tandoori roti, and gajar halwa, and everything was delicious. The service was super quick too—it felt warm without any unnecessary small talk.

The Maharaja donated the food for the Allston Brighton Food Pantry Fundraiser Dinner. The food was absolutely incredible! Each dish was packed with flavor. I will absolutely be back to support a restaurant that has excellent food AND food justice values!

Sooo good! Will be back, everyone was so nice and the food was delicious. Felt like a fine dining experience and we got to sit by the window and look out into Harvard Square. So fun!

Both the Maharaja Biryani and Chicken Chettinad we ordered were delicious. The staff was very attentive which was a plus. The food is fairly expensive at 25-30 dollars a plate but it was a worthwhile experience.
