Good place, bad experience Unfortunately I just went in today to order a takeout and faced (for the second time ) terrible service and rudeness from the gentleman at the counter. He missed half of the order (fine, mistakes happen) then rudely told me I didn't order it, even though i repeated it twice and we talked about it. (& he wasn't too busy) I noted what was missing. He still still didn't get my Caprese, said he didn't hear me? I left without it. A few months ago he took a sandwich order then shared after waiting 20 min to say they were out of bread? The problem is really with his rudeness and lack of customer care. It's too bad, my family has been regulars and really like the owmer but this is not good for business.

Great Italian food! Not just pizza (which was excellent) but also seafood pasta del mare, shrimp and broccoli risotto, mushroom tortellini, garlic bread... surprisingly good Caesar salad, who knew you could make that special?! Generous servings of seafood.
Not fancy but the owner was friendly. Feels like a secret find of a restaurant, but one you want to share with your friends.
Prices were reasonable. We will go back...

The lackluster service, accompanied by persistent flies and unclean tables, marred what could have been a pleasant dining experience. While the food was passable, the overall ambiance suffered greatly from how unsanitary things seemed. Until improvements are made, it's hard to recommend this place.

I ordered garlic bread and a large Primavera pizza, which is larger than the large pizzas at other pizzerias. The pizza came with a good amount of toppings, and the thin crust is also great! However, I would have liked the crust to be crisper. Overall, it was a good quality pizza at a reasonable price. They have a lot of options for vegetarians, which is a plus.

I love the village kitchen. It's best to call and make sure they're open, but when they are- excellent food and wonderful service. It's not fast- sometimes there's just an owner working, but old fashioned attentiveness to food and drink done right. Excellent meats, pastas, and sandwiches, but especially eggplant parmesan. And espresso!

Best chicken parm in the Boston area -- bar none. I also love how they have simple prepared food at the counter -- like thinly fried slices of eggplant; and spinach sauteed with garlic and olive oil. I'd love to try something else besides the chicken parm but it's so delicious I have to order it every time. This is a classic mom and pop shop and you can tell the owners are really passionate about the food they prepare and serve. Wish it was closer but whenever I'm in the neighborhood I make sure to stop in.
