The rotating flavors are fun, but the texture feels light and not very creamy, and the dairy flavor isn’t as rich as I’d hoped. I lived in Cbus before moving here, so maybe I’m just used to Jeni’s. Fun concept, but the ice cream itself didn’t really hit the mark for me.
usually love this place but staff is very hit or miss. came in at 8 (they close at 10) and was told by staff that the icecream needed 30 minutes to defrost for every flavor even though they just served a group before us. we couldnt tell if they were messing with us or not and decided to leave and go next door for icecream instead.
The staff member was extremely rude. When I ordered ice cream, he just glared at me and didn’t say a single word. It was obvious he found his job bothersome, and it really ruined my experience while eating the ice cream.
Best ice cream.... In the world. Yes, I said what I said. I haven't been to every country, but I've been to many and there's very few out there doing what Gus and team are doing. Consistently pushing boundaries of flavor and quality for decades. And, just really good humans!
Usually my favorite ice cream, but when I walked in at 8pm Thursday, the guy scooping ice cream insisted they were closed. He told me I could scoop my own ice cream but that he was done scooping. He turned back several groups and gave no explanation - seemed like he just did not want to work. Very disappointing!
Ice cream was fine but I asked for a sundae, they didn’t say they were out of whipped cream and charged me anyway. When I mentioned it they were rude about it
The mando sticky rice flavour is my all time favourite. I need to make excuses to come back to Boston just for Toscanini’s!
Best ice cream in the entire country!
Toscanini’s breaks the mold and offers fancy ice cream flavors without sacrificing taste and the joy of a good scoop.
It’s so sad what’s happening here. I just returned after being away for over 20 years, excited to have my favorite ice cream. The ice cream remains fantastic, from what I can tell. The service and evidently the management, however, are sending this beloved place down a death spiral of just not caring. It’s dirty inside. Look at the cake cooler! It hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. And the service, oh my. The kids behind the counter have no business being there. They are unfriendly, unhelpful. And in the case of the girl in there, completely unknowledgeable. She’s standing there in front of the ice cream all day but doesn’t know any of the flavors by sight. She served us some other beige flavor instead of the Belgian chocolate. What? She also has zero concept of customer service and is so dim it takes like 10 minutes to get ice cream from her, even when there’s no one else in there. Oh man. Also, they had no whipped cream. Or they did, but the three containers of it in the fridge were off. We watched her sniff them and confer with her slightly more knowledgeable coworker, which, I’m not kidding, took like 7 minutes. How can Toscanini’s, who used to be famous for having real whipped cream, not have any? Then the next day we watched the guy make it and he poured at least a cup of powdered sugar into 3-4-ish cups of cream. It was so sweet it was inedible. Well, I’ll still come back cuz I love the ice cream. But if this keeps up, they will not be here when I return. Booo, so bummed.

Are we serious??? 🤪Goat chesse browni was the best ice cream Ive had ever in my whole life! I would come back to BOSTON only for it! 😍😝
Another one that we really like was B3!!!
Both highly recommended 🥰
Not quite what it used to be in the 1990s and 2000s when it had mythical ice cream quality relative to the other options, but still very good. The melted chocolate on the sundae is every bit as good as it used to be and makes a sundae worth it. And, why not, you can always take the micro portion and not feel guilty (though it is expensive per ounce!)
The male checking me out was rude to me. Asked me very weird personal questions and served me ice-cream with pube like hairs in it. Will not be returning.
We went in and were prepared to order when I noticed that all employees were not wearing gloves. The woman behind the counter who was going to serve us was busy rubbing her nose and mouth with her bare hand. We're too busy to get sick so we instead hightailed it out of there.
First time here, just visiting Boston. The prices are a little steep for a scoop of ice cream. I sampled a few, but settled on the B3; it was sweet, salty, chunks of brownies. It was delicious. Size pictured is the mini.
