i have been to Toscano many times now the food is always fantastic, however we have had the same server 2 times and both times we had issues with our orders. this last time we considered ordering the eggplant appetizer, we were advised it would take 18 min and since we were going to a show at ART. we said never mind and ordered a different app. the server misunderstood us and put in the eggplant anyway. turns out it didnt take 18 min and one member of my party really loved it...
We really enjoy Tosacno, particularly there consistency and great, welcoming service. This was our first visit to the Harvard Square location and we will be back. It is very convenient to A.R.T. The open all day schedule is particularly convenient.
Food is very good. But the noise level, even early-ish on a Saturday evening, was awful. Impossible to hear our friends sitting right across from us. Had to shout to be heard. "Energetic" is a much kinder way of describing the noise level. It was intolerable and i couldn't wait to leave. We will not be back for that reason.
