We have been meaning to try Toscano for a very longe time, however, most times when we went to make a reservation, we found it to be totally booked. Yesterday was our lucky day as there were no real crowds to speak of in Harvard Square on the 4th. What a treat. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere was soothing. My only complaint, my being well over 6 feet tall, was that the seating was all rather low and thus uncomfortable for me, with the table then sitting rather high,...
Had an early dinner at Toscano this weekend, and it was overall pretty good. The service was prompt and kind. I went for the pappardelle white bolognese which was very flavorful if a tad heavy. My dining partner had the salmon and asparagus which he said was nice but only had three spears of asparagus. The bread was an interesting choice given they were warm yeasted rolls rather than a ciabatta or the like. A decent option in Cambridge, though by no means the only option.
