Excellent food, drink and service. Chefs' originality and creativity are visible. The inclusion of vegetarian dishes is deeply appreciated.
The food is so tasty, fresh and delicious, the ambience and service is terrific. Not a place to go to if you are trying to save pennies but it is worth it for the rest.
Absolutely fantastic. This was my second time at Urban Hearth and it was as incredible as I remembered. Great service —especially Abby — and incredible food. So fresh, so unique! Five plus stars!
Chefs counter experience is 100% worth it / feels like you're in the kitchen with the chefs as you see the care they put into each plate
Great server (Sam) and spectacular food (all 5 courses). Only drawback was the physical plant: tables too close together (no privacy), loud, and truly awful bench seats (the felt like low-end junk from Wayfair). Weird review, I know. Terrific on the basics (food and service) but lousy on the restaurant layout and furnishing. We may try the small bar counter next time.
Really great food and service in a nice, smallish setting. Tried three smaller dishes - all were delicious, but the yellowfin was the standout. Then two larger dishes and dessert - all were perfectly cooked/prepared. Probably one dish too many for two people, but great to get to try so many tasty dishes. Service was terrific too.
From the food to the service, everything was outstanding! I also appreciated that there was not loud background music so that I could enjoy the conversation without having to strain to hear so that I could enjoy the conversation without having to strain to hear. Such a special spot.
Such a great experience!!!! Loved sitting at the counter and being able to watch the chefs while they prepared food for us and the restaurant. Very unique to be able to ask them questions and learn so much. We did the wine paring and first time we learned so much about the wines and why it was paired with the course. Very informative. The food was incredible....All very unique....hard to pick a favorite because they were all very good. Highly recommend this for the counter service for a very special experience but would also go back to order off the menu!
Don't skip the chef's counter! Hyper local and sustainable meets unique and delicious pairings. Come in hungry and with an open mind!
What a delightful spot with terrific food, interesting cocktails and a warm, friendly atmosphere. A perfect neighborhood restaurant.

I've never had a bad meal here. Currently, the Clams, Tuna and Bluefish are fantastic! Also, don't leave without a biscuit!
My new favorite restaurant in the Boston area. The tasting experience was amazing. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly, good was experience.
Unique dining experience in this small intimate restaurant, where the kitchen is open to the dining area. All fresh, farm-to-table food, prepared in unique ways . . . so much flavor! Servings are envisioned as shared plates, which also makes the experience unique. Wait staff is very helpful in describing the various dishes to the untrained palate. All-around excellent experience.
Excellent food, delicious flavors in a small intimate setting. The sharing plates are ideal however suggested 2/3 plates per person was a lot for our group of five. Ordering a few dishes to start with and then adding on would be ideal rather than having to order all the dishes at once. Staff was friendly. We were the last seating at 8:30pm which was nice as the restaurant had emptied out and we enjoyed a quiet evening with scrumptious food.
Everything about this meal from the biscuit to the deconstructed pineapple upside down cake was truly memorable- so much so we are still talking about beet skewers and crème brûlée squash with peaches. This restaurant is always on the top of the list!
