Gyudon is the best
Our ramen was delicious and well-priced, and the service was rapid. No complaints
The ramen lacked depth of flavor and richness because the base tasted like a bland chicken broth rather than the usual pork/fattier broth. I don’t think the cheese pairs well with the ramen. The pork also tasted a little gamey. Squid inside the takoyaki was cold. Not worth the price for the quality.
Delicious food promptly prepared with charming servers.
Amazing food with good prices. I recomend.
Tonight around 8:00 PM, I visited this restaurant. I originally wanted to sit on the left side, but their staff directed me to the right-hand side instead. As I was about to sit down, I suddenly heard someone say “Wait!”—and to my shock, I saw that the chair was covered in sauce and something disgusting, possibly even vomit. Unfortunately, my dress became soiled as a result.
One of their staff members kindly helped me clean up, and I asked her why the seat hadn’t been checked or cleaned before directing a customer to sit there. Her response surprised me even more: she said, “That’s because you didn’t watch the chair carefully. There were two seats—why did you choose to sit on this one?”
I interpreted her words as blaming me for something that clearly should have been the restaurant’s responsibility. Given that my dress was dirty and I was already feeling extremely uncomfortable, being blamed instead of receiving a sincere apology made me feel both wronged and angry.
Another customer nearby, unaware of the full situation, commented, “You were supposed to wait at the door until someone guides you.” I explained that I was indeed guided by your staff to that exact seat. Otherwise, I would have chosen to sit on the left side, as I had initially intended.
Overall, I felt deeply upset and embarrassed by this experience. I would sincerely appreciate it if the manager could review the surveillance footage from tonight and speak to the staff involved. I believe an apology is in order—not only for the dirty seat, but also for the inappropriate response that followed.
I hope this incident will be taken seriously and handled appropriately.
Absolutely the best pork fried gyoza I have ever had. Noodles for the ramen were on point and the chicken was very tasty
Food was amazing. So is the staff. The atmosphere is calm and tranquil ☺️
it was okay nothing too special. i got the kaen ramen. it was a bit extra peppery but i could handle it. i didn’t expect it i thought it would be spicy but that’s on me. their space is small but that’s understandable. it’s cute and all right other wise.

Craving a bowl of umami-rich ramen in Harvard Square? WakuWaku Romen has got you covered!
Stepping into this unassuming eatery, you’ll find a cozy traditional ambiance and a small but charming space with both indoor and outdoor seating. Despite an initially awkward welcome, the service throughout our meal was impeccable.
Their signature ramen is a must-try. The veggie ramen I opted for was packed with fresh vegetables and a deeply flavorful broth, perfect for those who prefer a seaweed-free option. The calamari, highly praised by my tablemates, was another delectable choice.
The spicy honey wings are a must-order appetizer, offering a nice balance of heat and crispy crunch. Overall, the dishes were reasonably priced, making WakuWaku Romen a budget-friendly option in the Square.
If you’re looking for a quick, delicious, and affordable ramen fix in Harvard Square, WakuWaku Romen is an excellent choice. While the space may be small, the flavors and service are anything but!
