Food is the best in the city, but they were blasting dance monkey, old Town roads, and good for you right in front of me. I just want to watch YouTube videos on my phone while I eat. The volume is on my noise headphones is as goes and I still can't hear my video.

This was such a treat and so much fun. The service, food and atmosphere are all amazing. The work great as a time, the music was fun, the vibe was warm and chill and the main event - the food was delicious! Highly recommend.

Came in with a group of three. My sister couldn’t order anything due to allergies. The server told us we could not order anything unless everyone ordered even though my sister couldn’t eat. We were essentially told to leave. There was no wait and multiple tables open.

I think this place was overhyped for me. Yes, the udon is very good and made fresh but it wasn’t life-changing or anything. I like that they do a very good job of seating people efficiently. You line up to the left of the entrance and a server comes down the line asking how big is your party. They also give out menus and take your order before you even sit down so the line moves quickly. (It still took 30 minutes for me to be seated but I had a large party of 7 people.)
Would I come back again? Sure, when I’m craving udon. But I also don’t crave udon that frequently so it was just an okay experience for me.

Great service and staff, very welcoming and helpful.
Best udon in the city thus far, and I can’t get enough of it. I always get the cold udon and I know, cold right? But it changed my world view on cold udon in general and it was phenomenal.
I also tried the seasonal curry udon bowl, I was knocked out after but when I was sipping I was in heaven.
A must go to spot when visiting Boston.
Note, you will have to wait and you wait outside for the seaport location. Just note it

So very good food, this was my first time trying udon noodles and as a person who loves spicy I can say not only are their noodles super flavorful with all the toppings/garnishes they put but the spicy sauce is delicious and spicy haha which to be honest most places tell you it’s spicy but then it’s not, the waitress was helpful and kind and the atmosphere was amazing 10/10 experience I recommend.

First time visiting since they moved from their original location in the corner. A lot more organized now. There is a server who takes your order while you are in line to speed up the process. Prices surprisingly have been kept in check since covid. Ordered a spicy cold niku udon. While the noodles didn't seem as freshly/well made as before, the sweet soy sauce and spicy beef were still good. Portion size hasn't seemed to change but you do get a decent sized portion. I was not very hungry but it was filling. I also ordered a coke while I was in the line but it was forgotten. Luckily the server took it off for us with no hassle. I saw there was a $2 charge for water. But they do give you free water which they refill. I suppose the charge is for some sort of bottled water.

Overhyped. Didnt like the food that much but im a ramen head. Limited menu. The signature cold udon wasnt my favorite. Hot spicy udon was better but lacked depth in the broth. Good service though and clean restaurant.
Yume Ga Arukara is an absolute must-visit for udon lovers. The noodles are outstanding—perfectly chewy, silky, and clearly made with incredible care and craftsmanship. Every bowl feels simple yet deeply satisfying, letting the quality of the ingredients truly shine.
The broth is clean, balanced, and full of umami without being heavy, and the toppings complement the udon beautifully rather than overpowering it. Whether you choose something classic or a seasonal special, each dish feels thoughtfully prepared and comforting.
The atmosphere is casual and focused on the food, which fits the experience perfectly. Efficient, friendly service and consistently exceptional udon make this place unforgettable. Easily one of the best udon spots around—worth every visit and every wait.

Overall great experience, except this one guy who cut me off in line kept staring at me at me like he was trying to challenge me as he chugged sake, but overall great food and great customer service 10/10
One of the best udons in the greater Boston area.

I came here alone on a recommendation from a guy I met at the bar, drunk. Because i have a dream of finding the best udon place in the western hemisphere, i decided id best take him up on rec. After skipping the line -unintentionally- of one person (I got ther early, I do suggest you do the same), I reached my seat at the bar and ordered a flight of sake and the special upon. The guy I skipped (I said sorry) sat in eyes distance from me and ordered the same thing.
He must not take me seriously.
Once the flight of sake came, I sipped each one just to taste them (wonderful), and then slammed each one. Then he did the same with his.
This wasint a game anymore, it was war. Once the udon came, I saw the waiter, and using my signature move of throwing my entire wallet at the door, when she looked at my tome of finance lying on the floor, I ravaged the bowl like an animal. The server didint even have enough time to let the bowl reach the table. By the time she looked back at me, the bowl was empty. I was a blur, and my opponent sat without a breath of air in his lungs.
The waiter looked back at the serving tray and saw it impeccably Cleaned as if fresh from a dishwasher. She apologized and came back a few minutes later with another bowl (+50$ tip).
Just to be sure to make sure I established my alpha energy I ordered a bottle of the dragon sake, the most expensive thing on the menu and drank the entire thing without stopping for as much a breath. He stood up and went to the bathroom.
I won.
I paid my bill and left. This was worth the hours of travel time to come to this legendary udon sanctuary.

Line can be a bit long even with the expanded space but there aren’t many udon spots in the Boston area. Highly recommend the cold as the noodles are much springier and chewier than the hot where noodles can become mushy. Beef is solid and well seasoned. Broth is delicious. Udon is probably my favorite type of noodle and Yume does a solid job.
