This cute little place is not what you might be thinking it would look like. It's at the street end of a few businesses. The walls in the front are red but if you are looking for a single red building then stop yourself from driving right by this place. Tucked away in Carver MA, so there are plenty of dorks who show up during the king richards fair days, wearing elf costumes and wooden swords and crap. Their combo said "Pork and Brisket" and I was like "Is the pork part ribs? Or pulled pork?" and they said it was pulled pork. Asked them if there was any way I could get the ribs and just some brisket to try and a few sides. They kinda accommodate I guess? Think it came out as a sliced brisket dinner with 2 sides and a half rack of baby backs on it's own. The Brisket: So ... I go to a lot of BBQ joints and I hardly ever eat all of the brisket that I have to buy. So I just want to try a few bites usually. And I really don't think that should be that much of an issue to just get a ¼ lbs of brisket for whatever the price is ... especially when it's THIS BAD! Brisket was like a microwaved burnt fatty slice of corned beef that was thrown on the grill for a long time. Gooey, Chard, I couldn't do it. Extra fatty corned beef that has been smoked for too long. I felt a bit embarrassed asking for a smaller portion of brisket and I literally had to leave it there on the table as I ran away. Thankfully, that's where the bad stuff stopped Cornbread was an app and it came as a whole mini loaf with actual corn kernels. Moist and hot and sweet! Not a lot of crumbling apart. And the Butter had cranberries in it! Real good amount of butter too. This is Ocean Spray Cranberry country down here. Ribs I guess were baby back, a little bit glazed, really good pork flavor, tender and hot. Grilled and smoked. They dropped off some Bourbon BBQ Sauce and Cranberry BBQ sauce, Don't know if it usually comes with it and for some reason it was only the two sauces, no sweet BBQ or house sauce. Ribs were very good on their own, a sweet kick from the sauce. Bit of a bark. Cranberry BBQ sauce was tangy and fun, Bourbon was good but I liked the cranberry sauce more. Backyard style, bones are over cooked, but it's a style and sometimes it's pretty good. Sides came with the brisket. I got the beans and mac and cheese. Online says different things on the menu than the actual location offers so watch out. Cowboy beans had a moosh gravy bean sauce, and some places have cowboy beans with a soupy broth style gravy. One day I'll distinguish what the difference is. Kind of apple notes or cranberry taste even. Lot more pulled pork than beans, a couple different beans. Texture was great. Not a big amount though. Kinda skimpy. Mac and Cheese. Powerful white cheddar, but slippery, didn't stay on the fork. Wasn't baked or a mixture of cheeses. Very white. Boiled pasta and cheese goo. And again it was a very small portion. Mac and the Beans came in one of those little tiny dishes that asian restaurants use for dipping into duck sauce or something. Easily pound it all down in 3 or 4 bites. But good enough taste I guess. Desserts are offered but the online menu is different. Solid 4 but the brisket needs an exorcism.

We want to love this place but it's just okay. I think our waitress wasn't feeling it. She handed us the bill, literally said no rush, and then threw away my son's dinner (still food on the plate and in his hand). Another table was yelling for her attention and it seemed like she was ignoring them.The menu is pretty basic. Our wings were tasty but half of our fries came out perfect and the other half was somehow cold but overcooked. There aren't too many restaurants around so wish we could make this our go-to place but unfortunately it just isn't it.

I went to have dinner there one night. I actually wanted to have a chicken dinner. I could not have the chicken dinner because they didn't have any chicken. So I ordered A half rack of ribs. The ribs were very dry and warm, they weren't hot at all. They weren't even temder I can make better ribs . Very disappointed.

Friendly staff and service... but horrendous food.Imagine bringing over $200 worth of meat to your work for everyone to eat, only to realize they didn't put ANY barbecue sauce on anything OR give you any on the side... Your then left with several pounds of dry flavorless meat that no one wants to eat!Now imagine that happening TWICE, even after you specifically ask for several sides of BBQ to be INCLUDED.Yup...We gave this place 3 chances throughout 2021, and each time got worse and worse.

Got there kind of late after King Richard's Faire. The food was really good. The service was excellent. Highly recommend the chili! And the flat bread pizza too!
We used to come here pre-pandemic and could get a decent plate of BBQ. They have since changed the menu and favorite items have been removed, includimg smoked sausage, cheese grits and hush puppies. Upon my recent visit I ordered a pulled pork plate. I was very disappointed as the pork was extremely dry. I like some carmelization on BBQ but this was dry enough to be almost jerky. I will not be returning.

This place is seriously legit! Been a few times and have never left unsatisfied. Good table service with a relaxed atmosphere to be comfortable. Big portions with an amazing price. Highly recommend the Little Red Smokehouse! Best bbq within a 40 miles radius of Plymouth County. (always worth the drive)

I have been going to this restaurant through different owners and management and in the last 3 years it has been a crap shoot on service and food quality. Most recently this place has taken a nose dive in both categories and most recently called out a customer that they knew by name for forgetting to pay their tab on social media. This place has hit its lowest. Never again.
