I've tried to give this place a chance two times and I think I'm done. They first time I ordered a sausage egg and cheese on an everything bagel and they gave me a plain bagel with just egg and cheese (charged me for the sausage version though). I didn't notice till I was already gone.
Went back to try their omelettes and tried to order a 'make your own' with sausage, cheese, peppers and onions. The cashier struggling with their ordering system had to call help over and eventually just typed in the ingredients to the comments. Then she gave the screen a look like something was wrong and told me my order. I think I got doubled charged somewhere cause the $12.50 omelet somehow landed at $20 after taxes...
Anyway so that wasn't really what pushed me over the edge. I'd say it was the 30+ minute wait when they had slow traffic and while the cook helped out his friends and my order got pushed back. Someone would come in, speak a foreign language to the cook and they would walk away with their meal in 5 minutes. I guess they keep a close circle.. Finally to really top it all off they took a cheap salad and some fruit and dumped it on top of the omelette. The dressing got all over the omelette and pretty much ruined it, Couldn't have seen this coming either haha! No where on the menu does it say the omelette comes with that.
All set with this place.. swing and a miss

Cozy café with excellent coffee and delicious pastries. The vibe is welcoming, and it’s a nice spot to sit with friends or work quietly. A hidden gem where you can really enjoy quality drinks and comfort.
We have been going to Emmi's since it fkrst opened and to this location before it changed names, as well. We need to do better. I own several businesses myself and have about 9 million views on my profile. The person running the register cannot be the one making food and making coffee as well. I and my wife waited in line today for 10 minutes and were just behind the first customer
We just needed coffees. We left after waiting another 5 minutes. Ended up going to Waverly Kitchen up the road which was wonderful. Emmi Cafe can do better. I get that you prioritize your growing online orders, but we just stand here and wait forever. we can do it.

The best coffee we had in the city! Not the nicest cafe, or the most friendly staff, but by far the best espresso. Great outdoor seating.

Great place to have my first East Coast “meal.” Had the Emmi- a BLT made from the yesteryears. Nostalgic feelings washing over me with every bite! Thanks Emmi crew.

I ordered takeout at lunchtime. There was one person making food and it took 25min. There were no large orders ahead of me. The person making food messed up my order, giving me a hot sandwich (I did not ask for toasted) on the wrong bread and looked at me like I was crazy even though I pointed to where it said what I ordered on the tag. He also left the cake off my order and gestured to the area where the baked goods were instead of saying anything - What? Was I supposed to get it myself? At least the friendly woman from the register came back and helped me. Instead of apologizing, the man who made the food walked away and rudely said 'hold on'. I had to leave because I couldn't wait another 25min so I took the uncorrected food. When I went to eat it, I also noticed he left off the avocado that I paid $2 extra for. The cake was also disgusting - it must've been old because the chocolate top was plasticky and the cake was dry and crusty. I have called Emmi 4x over the past 2 days and no one answers the phone. I filled out the online contact form and no one has responded.

Mediterranean veggie sandwich was delicious. Hummus, roasted red pepper, cucumber, olives & feta on whole grain. Perfect sandwich for me. Stopped in for a late lunch while seeing the sites in Boston. Wish I lived here so I could get this sandwich again.

The food was pretty good, but I ordered two items and they were both given to me/made incorrectly. I got an almond croissant and was given a plain croissant. I mentioned it to the staff and they were very polite, offering me an extra pastry to make up for it (since I wasn’t going to ask for a $1 refund—the difference in price between croissants).
What I did not bring up later was my bagel sandwich, where they gave me the wrong bagel. I didn’t mind sesame and the sandwich was good, but I asked for an everything bagel and it was even input correctly on the ticket. I would go back here to try more items, but be prepared to have your order made wrong.

They used the same knife to cut my caprese as my husband's tuna sandwich. They got tuna all over it. This indicates a complete lack of hygiene standards.
