I have many good memories of the Cambridge location from my time as a graduate student, so this was my first visit to the Charlestown location with fairly high expectations.

The onion and tomato pizza was just okay. The bread felt overly soaked in the sauce and lost its texture, which was disappointing, especially given the many positive things I’ve heard about the pizza here.

The Akbar Mashti cheesecake (pistachio & saffron) was good—very dense and moist. The pistachio cheesecake layer was nicely thick, though we felt it could be even better with more pistachio crunch on top to add textural contrast.

The flat white was under-extracted, quite acidic, with a grassy flavor. Our biggest concern, however, was that our hot coffee was served in a disposable cup (a paper cup with a plastic layer inside) even though we ordered to dine in. We are a bit concerned about food safety, and mugs would be more appropriate for in-store service.

Overall, today’s experience was a bit disappointing. I’ve previously enjoyed their burrata pesto sandwich, croissant, savory scone, and matcha pound cake, which were all quite good.

Super cool interior decor and vibe BUT the coffee is really bad (bitter taste and served lukewarm) and pretty expensive.

La Saisson Café consistently goes above and beyond. Connor and the team bake their bread and pastries fresh every day — especially their incredible sourdoughs, the custard and fruit tart, and that unforgettable pistachio pastry. The service is humble, warm, and genuinely welcoming, and they even take the time to learn your name. This is a true community-first café that makes everyone feel at home. A real neighborhood gem.

The staff at La Saison truly go above and beyond! They are actually incredible and treat regulars so well if you're local to the area. We're so happy to have another solid cafe option in the Charlestown area and La Saison is our favorite. Very tasty chocolate croissants and chai latte is always done 10/10 to perfection. The bread is the best and we often pre order either the Olive, Multigrain, or Fig & Walnut. Couldn't recommend more.

A small coffee shop that is cute and charming. We ordered two sandwiches and the bread was cold, and at no point did they ask if we wanted them warmed up.
The sandwiches definitely would have been great if the bread was warm.
The mocha my husband ordered was around an 8/10
My pistachio matcha was a 7/10 because I found the matcha flavor too weak
It’s a cute place, I wouldn’t go back, but I do recommend trying it!

Make sure you don’t let them write any message on the cake, otherwise there’s a good chance the top will end up with no fruit at all. 🙄

Wifi available but a bit unreliable for me. Do yourself a favor and get the halva latte (nutty, not too sweet), orange cardamom cookie, feta zaatar scone, orange almond scone, pear lemon thyme scone. I might’ve messed up the names but they’re so damn good

We were on our way to a birthday dinner at a famous restaurant in Boston when we happened to see a bakery that was still open a little late. I went inside to check it out, and even though they only had two kinds of cakes left, it was definitely worth it! One of them was a raspberry-strawberry cheesecake, it had a delicious icy, sweet-and-sour flavor that we loved. I couldn’t resist and bought some because it was so yummy! The bakery itself was quite spacious and definitely worth trying. Loved it!

I love this place so much, everything is perfection the pistachio crossaint, pizza everything is lovely. But they need to up their game with time 😣😣😣 I waited 15 min for my latte, other than that definitely recommend and would be back!

This place is one of the best bakeries/cafes in town. Super aesthetically pleasing and the food is just top level. Get the fruity paistry or the flatbread. Cookies are pretty good too and the matcha is soooo good, great quality powder and mixed. Their saffron syrup is delicious and you can add it to any drink. Honestly don’t miss this spot (this is written out of passion and love for great quality spots)

The food is always fresh. My only complaint is the roast beef sandwich — it’s mostly focaccia with barely any meat
