This was my second visit to prima to celebrate a special event with my daughter on a miserable rainy Thursday night. The restaurant was packed and initially thought we would need to wait an hour for a table . We proceed to the bar where we were seated almost immediately! Darren was our bartender. He was pleasant and attentive. Our food was brought quickly and was absolutely delicious ! Scott the manager introduced himself as a table had become available and I appreciated that personal introduction. After our yummy meal, our bartender surprised us with a complimentary dessert to celebrate our special night . I was so impressed!! Again another wonderful experience at Prima!!

Prima is excellent and has become my favorite restaurant to bring friends and family! The service is off the charts excellent as is the overall experience with outstanding food and hospitality! Every dish I have had is excellent. The pasta is fresh and off the charts delicious!

Fun, rustic, and warm. Come for brunch and have a lovely Benny or Bloody Mary. Bartenders and staff are absolute gems. What an amazing neighborhood spot.

We've dined at Prima several times since they opened a year or so ago for brunch, lunch, and dinner. Our most recent brunch experience was a bit frustrating because the item one party member ordered was I correctly described on the menu. The timing between sitting down by the hostess and, meeting our server, and our server checking back in to take our initial drink and then food order was off. I asked the hostess to also hang up my jacket because there were no jacket hooks, and it was clear she wasn't comfortable seamlessly providing a basic level of patron support. She agreed to, but said “oh, well, we really only do that for dinner.” That is a normal expectation at higher tier quality restaurants in new York and other parts of the world. Prima has the potential to continue to be disruptive in a positive way to the Boston food scene which is negligible, but the small details matter.

We had excellent service from Ryan for our anniversary dinner. He was attentive with water and helpful with the menu. I was delighted to be in the back room because the front is too loud I believe. I love loud music but this is my second time coming and feeling it is too loud to enjoy your dinner and conversation. My spicy pici was absolutely fantastic. My husband had the veal and was really disappointed. I had some and it was far too chewy and the sauce was very bland. It looked extravagant but was unfortunately a letdown. Both our martinis were delicious and we were very delighted to receive congratulatory complimentary Prosecco. The music was great! Really created a nice vibe. The diversity is severely lacking. It was uncomfortable. Overall it was a decent meal and the service and ambiance were excellent.

This spot is a gem! This beat all my expectations especially for a spot located outside the north end. Amazing atmosphere and great service! The Bolognese was incredible and I will be ordering it again as soon as I return!

It was absolutely beautiful inside probably one of the most beautiful restaurants I've been into. Our service was great and she was very kind and walked us through the entire menu. The French toast was really thick, which is always a good thing but just a touch dry. The in-house mozzarella was delicious and a cool concept, considering they make it there. The breakfast pizza was good but my favorite was the prosciutto Benedict. I typically don't go for breakfast potatoes, but these were so crispy. I couldn't stop eating them.

VERY slow. The server didn't take our drink order for a very long time and then asked us to order all food at once and they'd space it out. The entrees took an hour from when we got our appetizers. Food tasted great but took way too long

I had the pleasure of going to Prima for dinner and I can’t say enough good things about this place. The ambience is pristine… walking into such a gorgeous restaurant space. The staff and the servers are beyond knowledgeable and so helpful. And the food!!! I wish I could give 10 starts to the food. I cannot wait to go back! A MUST go spot.

I have never left a google review before but I had to leave one here after my experience last night for dinner. I cannot stress ENOUGH how incredible our experience at Prima was. My partner and I went last night for our first anniversary dinner and from the moment we arrived we were blown away by how beautiful the atmosphere was and the kindness of the staff. When we made the reservation we mentioned it was our anniversary so they took us to this stunning room and served us complementary champagne to celebrate. Ryan, our server, was so thoughtful and helpful the entire time and gave excellent recommendations. I have Celiac and the restaurant was so knowledgeable about it and provided countless gluten free options which tasted out of this world. I got the Filet and it has to be one of the best I ever had, only $55 for 12oz cause they butcher in house. I would definitely recommend the shared Caesar salad with gluten-free croutons, as well as the crispy potatoes on the side to go with your entrée. We both got espresso martinis (One black and one with Bailey) and they are really good! I definitely preferred the black expresso martini but you can’t go wrong with either. Such a romantic setting. Just look at these photos! Thank you so much, Prima, for the perfect anniversary dinner. We will be coming back for years and years to come!Everyone needs to check out this place!!

5 stars for the waitstaff and ambiance, great service and hospitality. Food is solid but there are better Italian restaurants.

This restaurant located in Charlestown is a great spot to gather with friends and celebrate. The waitress who served us was attentive the whole time if we needed anything else or if we needed more. The food was excellent, the main dishes delicious, and the appetizers perfect. I suggest adding more options for desserts, but everything else was great. A very cozy place. The music was a bit too loud, which is why customers have to raise their voices to converse."

Although we didn't get dinner the place gives off very much Italy. Sat at the bar and of course had to get the tiramisu espresso martini, asked for it extra light with baileys!

My only issue would be the high chairs we sat at. Very uncomfortable if you’re taller - the seat itselfIs so small and your legs go numb from sitting too long. Wish we had a comfy booth !
