Stopped by for a couple drinks on NYE. Cool spot that’s dog friendly year round. Took the ferry over and it’s just 2 minutes walk from the pier. Had some nice holiday cocktails.

Once Fees Are Paid, You’re on Your Own

I was a vendor at the Style Exchange event at The Anchor (Charlestown, Oct 26, 2025). I chose a rack by the bar, thinking it would get solid foot traffic—it didn’t. Forty-five minutes in, I noticed several unused racks outside and asked to move. The answer was no. That lack of flexibility cost me the entire day’s sales.

Style Exchange has expanded fast, but the focus on vendors has faded. Racks that used to cost $20 are now $45, yet vendor support is nonexistent. Once fees are paid, you’re on your own. I won’t make that mistake again—lesson learned for next time.

Appreciate your reply, though Style Exchange did tell us it was The Anchor’s decision that vendors couldn’t move.

Checked out the Anchor for a Halloween event. There weren’t that many people but the DJ played great music. The food was okay and the hot chocolate was essentially warm water. They had plenty of cushioned seats by the corn hole area. I’d probably return when the weather is warmer

Amazing staff!!! Awesome atmosphere and great drinks and food options too, and the staff were truly exceptional. They went out of the way to help set up a tv for this lone Eagles fan and totally made my day!! I’m so appreciative and loved hanging out in the awesome patio spaces with some epic Halloween decor. I had such a fun day here and thank you again to the wonderful staff!

A hidden gem near the Heart of Boston. I stumbled on this place accidentally, and couldn't believe that it hasn't been here forever! The blue colors in the seaside decor kind of already puts you in giggly good mood. The staff is always bustling around and adds to the lively energy of the scene.

The food selection is solid. It's what you would expect from an outdoor public venue. The flavors are really solid, though. I had the clam chowder and it hit the spot.

My favorite part of the experience is the lighting. As a photographer, I'm a sucker for good lighting and to see the ambiance created by all of the cube lights. all set against a seaside sunset, MAN!

With covid in the rearview, I plan on escaping the house more, and the Anchor is definitely gonna be one of my destinations.

Could be a really cool spot. Unfortunately $38 for 3 beers is absolutely ridiculous and brings it immediately down.

Outdoor bar, couches, tables, high tops, water fountain, excellent view of the city, they'll have heaters and igloos in winter. What a great afternoon on a warm October Sunday

Cool vibe right by the water with great view. Unfortunately drinks are overpriced. 14$ for small plastic cup of rosé, no table service and no complimentary water along with it since they only sell it by the bottle

I haven’t eaten here, but I have Salsa danced quite a few times, and it is a great spot on the water with excellent dancers! They even have a free lesson if you wanna try it.

Food was subpar. They were out of chicken. How that happens 30 minutes into opening I will never know. But whatever, stuff happens. We proceeded to order the nachos. While waiting on nachos, we go to grab a drink at the bar. Drinks were a bit overpriced but we are on vacation so willing to overlook it. My sangria was not the greatest. It tasted a little watered down. Bartender was okay. We're on the east coast so not as chatty as we are used to in the Midwest and South but she was still very polite. We go back to the counter to pick up our nachos and grab a table. The first table was gross. Which again shocking seeing as how they literally just opened. Dried food on the table and one of the chairs. Our nachos were laughable! There was literally nothing on them except an obscene amount of sour cream, guacamole, and old melted queso with cilantro and black olives. The guac was good but the chips were broken into tiny pieces at the bottom. Can't even pick them up to eat Definitely would not return here again or recommend to anyone. It says something that its currently 12pm and we are still the only customers present.

Stopped in for the first Notre Dame game of the season! This bar hosts events for the Notre Dame Club of Boston. The atmosphere was perfect and we were treated to complimentary popcorn and a jumbo screen playing the game outside. It was a unique experience, and we wish we lived closer to attend all future games.

The specialty drinks are extremely expensive - in my opinion, not worth it. I would stick with the various beers and seltzers they sell. While we didn’t get a chance to try their food menu, we saw their nachos, which had us drooling. We'll be sure to get them next time!

Went for a showing of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” and it was so cute! Got there an hour early and was able to get a low table, as opposed to the bar seat tables. They also gave out free pocorn.
