One of the most reliable, tasty restaurants in Chatham. Family owned. Best staff. The Buffalo shrimp (not on the menu but if you ask for it, they’ll make it for you) and corned beef hash are to die for. Everything’s homemade and very reasonable $. 10/10 clam chowder as well.

The place feels cozy & comfortably crowded like a favorite small town diner that accommodates everyone. The crowd included a lot of older men, so possibly it's where locals hang out as well as tourists. I tried my first warm buttery lobster roll. It was made well, tasted super fresh. Chips & dill pickle included. The chef chatted a bit, really nice guy. I tried the clam chowder which was good. Wait staff were really good. It's not a cheap place to eat but it's vacation & lobster rolls were needed. Also that flight of fruity mimosas went nicely with the more heavy warm food.

The location of this local spot is awesome. We stopped in for lunch during the after effects of Hurricane Lee so we easily had a seat. Our server, Courtney, was very upbeat and personal. Visiting the Cape from the Deep South (Alabama) for weddingness, I’ve been ordering lobster rolls everywhere. This was my favorite sized roll so far. I would definitely return!!!

Food is good. Service was kind of not proportionate to everyone there. Somebody waited long time somebody got everything ready. But still
This is always our first stop in Chatham for lunch upon arrival and it never disappoints. BUT - have to be true to your local and authentic self and serve Cape Cod Chips not Lays.

OK so here’s the deal on the Captain’s Table. We were starving hadn’t eaten since lunch the previous day and it was around 12:30. I told my wife that I was going to the first restaurant I see.….which happened to be The Captain’s Table…..which happened to be A GREAT FIND! This is a family owned restaurant. Our waiter, Steve, happens to be the son of the owners. He cooks, does dishes, buses tables and serves as a charismatic waiter. His dedication to his trade shines through. Now, they serve breakfast all day. If you’re from Vermont, like me, 24 hour/day breakfast is a big sell. I had the 2-meat breakfast burrito which might very well have been THE best burrito I’ve ever had. PLUS, the prices were reasonable (for Chatham, that is). If you’re looking for a great meal prepared by great, local people The Captain’s Table is where you want to go.

My hot lobster roll was phenomenal and went perfectly with a Mimosa flight! The only thing that would’ve made my meal better would’ve been Cape Cod chips instead of Lays. My husband enjoyed the swordfish tacos, but for the consider the cost, we had expected 3 tacos instead of 2, so hubby was still hungry when we left.Pricing was on par with other places on Main Street, and our waitress was such a sweetheart!
