“What a hidden gem in the middle of Chatham. On a very busy summer Thursday night, we were seated in the bar area right away and had the best dinner and drinks! We loved the casual and fun atmosphere, as well as the excellent meals and cocktails. We never felt rushed and absolutely loved everything. Cannot recommend highly enough!”

“I love my Brooklyn and NY pizza, but I have to admit, my favorite pizza can be found at Sweet Tomatoes in Chatham! It is my favorite spot when vacationing on the Cape. The pizza is absolutely delicious, and the smell of the restaurant can't be matched either! If you love thin pizza this is your spot!”

Try the Lemon Drop martini: cucumber infused vodka, mulled basil ( for 3 days), a splash of Cointreau, lemon and simple syrup. Quite refreshing for a summer day. “By far my favorite burger joint of all time , I go 2 to 3 times a week when I’m in cape cod. Burger patty is top notch , the Nashville hot chicken sandwich is spicey as all hell and my favorite sandwich . But the icing on the cake is the elite beer selection on tap . Kudos to Mom and Pops Burgers .”

“We recently had the pleasure of attending a professional alumni event for Suffolk Law. The clubhouse was very nice as are the golfing amenities. There are some racket sports. Plus, with Chatham Yacht Club on site you have a trio of sports. The golf course looked fabulous. So were the across the water views of The Wequasset 5 star upscale resort. Note the youngsters on the water with their competitive sailing fleet! Note that winter sledding is possible with adequate snowballs.”

“Very good diner food. Ate there with my family and we all enjoyed our meals. The grilled muffins were solid but they did give us the wrong muffin (we didn’t get to try pistachio got chocolate chip instead).

Sandwiches were good. Breakfast quesadilla was very good but very big.

French toast was a crowd pleaser.

Coffee was ok but filled often so that was very nice.”

“We enjoyed the Margarita Pizza here! Very tasty! Other reviews stated they were friendly there. We didn’t experience that at all. The woman took the order like it was an inconvenience and it wasn’t even super busy. Then she proceeded to talk about her personal problems to people sitting at the bar so loud everyone could hear it. Some advice, welcome your customers with acknowledging they’re there maybe even with a smile, hello or welcome in! Keep your problems to yourself and don’t ruin the mood while we eat your delicious pizza. I would return and recommend this restaurant to others because the pizza is that good and I’m hoping she was just having a bad day.”

“8/6/21 Had breakfast here today. Got seated right away about 9-9:15am Waiter took order, BYO Breakfast sandwich with short stack, and 2 Scrambled eggs with sausage and home fries, and a popover. Saw other people come in after us, order, and be served. 🤔 After about 45 minutes, got up to ask where breakfast was; “it should be out soon” 🤷🏼‍♀️We we’re seriously contemplating getting up and leaving !! (Again, a breakfast sandwich, and 2 scrambled eggs!🤔) And it still wasn’t too busy in there. Our waiter didn’t come bring the food to the table, 2 other people did, never asked if things were ok. When he came to bring the bill, again never spoke to us, but, was talking to the table behind is. 🙄🤷🏼‍♀️ It came HIGHLY recommended, but, we weren’t fans. Oh, and also on my “breakfast sandwich”, I got charged separately for the English Muffin!! 🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s listed in the description as coming on an English Muffin, so, again…. Why being charged extra?!!🤷🏼‍♀️🤔 The popover was totally burnt and cold , and sausages over cooked and burned. 2 people- $34, Thanks, but no thanks! Service wasn’t that great! And 45 minutes for a breakfast sandwich and 2 scrambled eggs?!!🤔 We aren’t tourists, we are local to Chatham, and was trying to keep it local, but, …….”

“Loved this spot! They sell out early of the egg and jam on a biscuit, but I got the taster jam flight and all three jams (strawberry, blueberry and pepper jam) were delicious. The biscuit fluffy and warm. They have great seating options, good music. I got the iced jam coffee.”

“We visited Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, although the food took quite a long time to arrive even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

The warm bread is definitely a must-try! It comes fresh and soft in a cast-iron skillet, served with sweet, creamy butter. Such a simple dish, but one of the highlights of our meal.

We also tried the Chicken Cutlet Paillard, which was crispy and served with arugula and a tangy dressing that balanced the richness of the chicken nicely.

The swordfish was a little overcooked for my preference, but still enjoyable.

My favorite was the lobster pizza — absolutely delicious! The lobster paired especially well with the pesto sauce on top, which added a fresh, flavorful touch.

For a vegetarian option, the cauliflower is also worth considering.

Overall, Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn is a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner while visiting Chatham, Cape Cod. The wait for the food could be improved, but the warm bread and lobster pizza were definitely the standouts for us.”

“Excellent customer service. It’s so easy to expect unhappy employees during these difficult times, but this is never the case here. Always friendly, smiling, genuinely happy. I ordered a burrito for my children forgetting 1 does not enjoy tomato’s. I came back in to order something more simple and the lovely employee gave me scrambled eggs and bacon in a to go bowl, complimentary. She didn’t have to do that. It was my error. So much appreciated. The food is fresh with flavor, and that’s hard to come by when ordering “quick” bites. Cheers”
