We visited Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, although the food took quite a long time to arrive even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy.
The warm bread is definitely a must-try! It comes fresh and soft in a cast-iron skillet, served with sweet, creamy butter. Such a simple dish, but one of the highlights of our meal.

The carrot hummus was delicious with fresh veggies and house-made pita for dipping. Bread rolls were great with a nice spiced butter. Good clam chowder if you like smoky bacon. Orzo salad was tasty. Loved the cod catch of the day (though the bean, squid and sausage side was bizarre).
Food was delicious, service excellent however it is a little on the noisy side with groups in the bar area
