Atrocious service. Missed the mark in every conceivable way. Server was openly rude and dripping with contempt for my family from beginning to end, and it showed both on her face and in her miserably inattentive service. Not sure if it was our southern accents, my mother’s disability, or just poor training that led to such a terrible experience; but I expected much, much better from a place in this prestigious a property. I didn’t pay for a five star resort to be made to feel unwelcome by the tavern waitstaff.Food was alright, but not near good enough to make up for the service.

I don't understand how the reviews aren't all 5 stars. We had the BEST dinner here! We started with the lobster taco & the pork belly and both of them were to die for. We also got the breaking bread, and it was delicious - a pumpernickel bread with onions embedded, topped with sour cream and swiss- and then all baked together. It was so, so good. For our mains, I got the flatbread of the day and it was an eggplant and tomato sauce topped with mozzarella, linguica, and a mixed greens kale tossed with pesto (from their own greenhouse)! It filled me up SO fast. My husband got the wagyu ragu and he loved it! Service was a little slow but we didn't mind, it was a relaxing dinner! And we left so full and satisfied! (Forgot to take a picture before so I'm posting the aftermath!)

Wonderful experience at this restaurant. Great selections. Servers, hosts, and staff were extremely helpful. Loved the fresh seafood. Lobster & Lamache was a fresh pasta dish that was the best! And I highly recommend the stuffed clams.

I've dined at Sacred Cod dozens of times over the years. The food has always been good, but tonight it was out of this world! We started with the flatbread special which was a little spicy. I had to try the Portuguese Kale Soup! It was amazing! For entrees we had Lobster & Lumache and Prosciutto Wrapped Cod. My husband loved his Lobster dish which was served with pasta and a spicy tomato sauce topped with breadcrumbs. My Cod was perfectly cooked and the prosciutto just added to the goodness. It really was one of the best meals we've had at Sacred Cod. Service was solid. Our waitperson was friendly and efficient. The host was very welcoming and went above and beyond to make a couple of small children happy with crayons and something to color. The restaurant itself is very cozy. There's a lovely bar area with bar stools and comfy couches in addition to the dining room. A great place for lunch or dinner. It's a bit pricey, but tonight it was totally worth it.

For many years my absolute favorite lobster roll has been at CBI. The large chunks of lobster with the light mayo. I was eager for my annual pre thanksgiving lobster roll . Unfortunately the newest lobster roll there is pre made , more lobster salad like - with twice the mayo and zero large lobster chunks . Hoping the OG roll comes back for the summertime . It seems somewhat cheapened. Lastly , our waiter was not very friendly . I still love and will always love this place overall.

My sister and I got the brussel sprouts, New England clam chowder, Sacred lobster roll, and fried green tomato, plus a mai tai and non-alcoholic pina colada - TASTE: 4/5 - the brussel sprouts were so good, thanks to the soy ginger glaze, and we enjoyed the clam chowder, chives, and bacon too. My lobster roll was awesome w the fresh lobster, house dressing, lemon aioli, and buttered brioche bun! TEXTURE: 5/5 - the clam chowder was thicker than expected, which made it all the more comforting and a nice contrast to the focaccia crisp and chunks of bacon. The lobster filling was refreshing, and complemented by the thick-cut fries PRICE: 4/5 - not bad for being the more casual dining option at Chatham Bars Inn. The $50 lobster roll was steep, but worth it because... SERVING SIZE: 5/5 - everything was bigger than we thought! The brussel sprouts were plentiful, the lobster roll was loaded and overflowing, and the fried green tomato sandwich, which we didn't know was gonna be a sandwich lol, was huge too SERVICE: 3/5 - we walked in before 4:30pm on a Saturday and the space was half full. Ordered from the lunch menu, as dinner started at 5pm, and our waitress was helpful in recommending a drink for me. There seemed to be a delay between receiving our apps and waiting for the entrees; we were getting nervous that our order was forgotten, but our entrees did finally come after 35min ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - again, the more informal dinner spot compared to Stars, but still an elevated feel w large leather chairs in the tavern space. There's a bar/lounge section off of the dining room area too PARKING: 5/5 - we stayed at CBI that night, so we parked in the lot by our Beach House cottage and walked across the street to the Main Inn

Most expensive tavern I have ever visited but exceptional dining with great service. There are no views from this location of the cape cod coast but a nice spot for an evening meal. Be sure to order the clam chowder.

Food was great. Seating was easy and our Bulgarian server did us right. The only problem was that there was a table of entitled patrons that had some problem with their food, kids, nannies, I don't know what but they pulled the staff away from our table and the service was a skootch slow because of them. I should have had a word with them, but they looked like the kind of folks that are never happy. Another dinner and a show. The chef looked very gracious as he dealt with them.

By far our favorite restaurant within the Chatham Bars Inn. It has a tavern with limited seating and a small adjoining dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed their Clam Chowder, cold beer and daily bread variety - delish! The highlights for us were the wonderful, local Wellfleet oysters on the half served with a mignonette sauce, horseradish and cocktail sauce. The best we've had since arriving! The Lobster tail, @market price, was also another home run!Service was efficient and very friendly. The warm wood paneling gives it a handsome tavern atmosphere where you'll want to linger and take in a sporting event on their flat screen t.v. Cheers! We'll return!

I had stayed at the Inn for a conference years ago and wanted so show my wife the property for a possible future stay. Being May, it was slow but the bar at the Sacred Cod was fun. Mostly couples and a few busies types hanging out. The barkeep (forgot his name but we was from Moldavia) was attentive and interesting. Pricy for sure but het, it is the Chatham Bars Inn!

Great service, awful food. Ordered the bread for $9, it was just old bread heated for you in under 2 min, basically blackened cranberry bread. Ok, happens. So we ordered the lobster tacos next. They weren't bad, the avocado dressing was bland but it wasn't the star of the dish. Moving onto the entrees, we ordered the roasted eggplant and the beef cheek. The beef was bad, and I mean really bad. It was dry aged and then cooked with so.much.salt.. the eggplant was passable. I don't really know what's so great about this place. We'll pass this place, even as guests of the inn. Go here, only if you're desperate without other options.

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Sacred Cod. Dishes enjoyed: clams, shrimp, lobster salad and tuna. Fish/seafood was incredibly fresh and seasoned perfectly. Service was excellent. Be prepared for some "sticker shock" when the bill arrives but great value.
