“If you like mussels; this is the place for you! And the dipping bread is over the top delicious. Try the Lemon Drop martini: cucumber infused vodka, mulled basil ( for 3 days), a splash of Cointreau, lemon and simple syrup. Quite refreshing for a summer day. “overpriced and gave out raw "fried" scallops. we used to go out of our way to come here on our cape visits but now we will go out of our way to avoid. prior to my raw plates being given to me, i had an interesting interaction with the teenager on the outside register when I tried to order inside. I am doubting the coincidence in raw food after dealing with her attitude. Given the the young kid who had been yelling out the orders, leaned in & said to her prior to hollering my name.. "hey that order is going out"...... i was waiting inside which is why i noticed his lack of communication with her for ALL the other orders leaving, except for ours. When I spoke with the.. man.. in charge, nonchalant backwards hat guy, he didn't seem to care about the interaction nor the raw $35 platter. when i walked back to have them remake it, the plate i recieved back had less food then the raw one i handed them. one less family spending money 🤷‍♀️“

“A great place with great food and friendly service. The lobster bisque is the best I’ve ever had. The grilled lobster and cheese sandwich is to die for. I’ve had grilled swordfish here and always cooked to perfection. For the quality and quantity of food, the prices are really reasonable. I’ll be back!“

“We visited Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn in Cape Cod for dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, although the food took quite a long time to arrive even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy.

The warm bread is definitely a must-try! It comes fresh and soft in a cast-iron skillet, served with sweet, creamy butter. Such a simple dish, but one of the highlights of our meal.

We also tried the Chicken Cutlet Paillard, which was crispy and served with arugula and a tangy dressing that balanced the richness of the chicken nicely.

The swordfish was a little overcooked for my preference, but still enjoyable.

My favorite was the lobster pizza — absolutely delicious! The lobster paired especially well with the pesto sauce on top, which added a fresh, flavorful touch.

For a vegetarian option, the cauliflower is also worth considering.

Overall, Sacred Cod Tavern at Chatham Bars Inn is a beautiful spot to enjoy dinner while visiting Chatham, Cape Cod. The wait for the food could be improved, but the warm bread and lobster pizza were definitely the standouts for us.“
