We had been there many times because of the glueten free options and never been disappointed.
Tonight I ordered the Fisherman’s platter as usual. I thought the price was high but I figured it’s ok, it’s Chatham. I asked for a bottle of water expecting a plastic bottle and I got a $6 blue bottle to pour over Chatham ice. When the meal came it was not what I was used to. The batter was excellent but it was clam strips, no onion rings over too many fries. Whole belly clams were a $10 more option which would bring one plate to over $50. Next time I will read the fine print!

We were super disappointed with Mac’s today. We’ve had really nice experiences with their food in the past. It’s always been really delicious. Maybe they changed their head chef or food source or procedures, but today I ordered a Cobb Salad with hot lobster. The hot lobster added to the salad cost $30, which is fine, but I was only given about 2oz of lobster meat (see pic). My wife ordered the fried calamari and it smelled like rotten fish, really disgusting, and was completely inedible. Such a bummer.

Have been here maybe 150 times all year round. Best casual restaurant on the Cape. Lobster rolls with garlic fries are enjoyed by all of our family… had the swordfish, tacos, clam chowder, among other options… all excellent. And we’re New York foodies…

I’ve had good meals here before, but yesterday I had what was undoubtedly the most disgusting lobster roll I’ve ever had, far past fresh, and overcooked, immediate stomach ache. Even worse is that it cost $40.

Was surprised by my experience given so many positive reviews. This restaurant was very poorly managed, and the way they have you to queue in line is very disorganized; making you wait in line for the bar before you can start waiting in the line to order food. Management was blunt and unhelpful when we asked for guidance, and the food was unfortunately not worth the wait.

This is one of friend's favorite restaurants on the cape, and it did not disappoint. It is casual. You can bring anyone at any age. There are food options for everyone including vegans but you really should come here for the seafood. I decided to get a cup of clam chowder and a hot, buttery lobster roll with salad. The chowder was full of clams and was not a heavy cream recipe. The lobster roll had nice big chunks of well cooked lobster. Both were delicious! I wanted to come back the next day...

What an amazing find after a day on the Cape. Mac’s was a gluten free diners delight. I enjoyed Gf chowder and gf battered fish and chips, but there were soooo many gf options to choose from I almost cried! Thanks Mac’s!!

Service was fast and friendly. atmosphere was bright and upbeat.
The kale soup was totally disappointing. Basically beef broth with a few veggies and two pieces of kale in it. If you want real kale soup go up the road to that famous old standby in Orleans.
What I really came for was the lobster roll. On the plus side the 6 ounce serving was generous and the lobster meat was a good quality. On the negative side, if the bun had been toasted, I couldn’t tell and the bun didn’t taste very good. For some reason, they decided to put shredded lettuce between the lobster salad and the roll. The point of the lettuce is to prevent the mayonnaise from making the roll disintegrate from the moisture. Shredded lettuce didn’t help one bit. If you want a really good lobster roll there are better places around.
