We had a 5:30 reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. We split the fried artichoke hearts small plate to start and it was beautifully served and delicious! We had a tuna entree and cod entree, both from the specials menu. Both were exceptional! The atmosphere and noise level were great. Service was attentive and personable. Highly recommended!

Top meal of the year.. We decided to wait over an hour with no reservation on a Friday night and we have no regrets. We love that they use 100% olive oil and not cheating you with low quality ingredients. The Caesar salads were so fire. Calamari was the best we ever had ! The Halibut was fantastic, the salmon was good (wasn't my fav because we don't like to eat grapes in our dishes) but the fish was cooked well. Our waiter was working hard and was great. Dessert we had carrot cake and deconstructed apple pie. Both were good ? can't wait to come back.

The food here is the signing star. We made a reservation for 7:45pm on a Tuesday. The place was packed. Unfortunately it was so busy we didn't get our entrée amd eat until 9:05pm. The delicious food made up for it. We ordered steak fretes, cod, salmon, and filet. Drink specials were also wonderful. I would recommend this place but make sure you have a reservation.

such a gem of a place! amazing food, service & atmosphere! the pizza is a highlight with the fig & prosciutto being such a great mixture of salty and sweet - highly recommend! cocktails are fabulous as well, espresso martinis are a great night cap! would definitely make a reservation if you can, fills up quite quickly with the bar being popular as well.

I have been here a few times but hadn’t been back in years - last night though was one of the best halibut dishes I have ever had and the butternut bisque and pumpkin ravioli were also absolutely incredible. I love the atmosphere in there and the service was also super great. Would highly recommend as someone that grew up on cape it’s a top 3 restaurant for sure!

Buzy and busy restaurant, efficient and helpful staff. I recommend not sitting in the front area of the restaurant which looks like a temporary conservatory extension and sounded very noisy. We had the ceviche to start which was very nice, although the wife preferred it more than me - I’m not a big fan of eating fruit and fish together. For our main course we both had the steamed claims - such a disappointment. The clams themselves were of high quality but both the claims and the linguine (which was over cooked) they came with were drowned in a tasteless, watery broth. The large slices of spicy sausage unfortunately didn’t add anything in the way of Portuguese flavour to the dish. Such a shame as, from reading the menu description, all of the ingredients should have added up to such a delicious dish. To cook claims well is not difficult and it is so sad that these wonderful claims were so spoiled by their cooking.

We truly appreciated the tremendous customer service. Our host Eva was pleasant, personable, and accommodating. She was very knowledgeable about the menu (including ingredients) and specials, asked us individually how our meals were, was prompt in service, constantly refilled our water and replaced silverware, and was genuinely interested in getting to know our party. Also, we had an infant - Eva brought her food quickly and brought crayons to make our experience enjoyable.
The food at Del Mar is undeniably excellent. However, the experience of dining there is so maddening that it’s simply not worth it.
The management believes they don’t have to treat their customers well because there’s a line out the door and so they don’t.
I was a regular for 20+ years since they were called the Roo Bar, but after an unbroken series of bad experiences over the past two years I’m done with this onanistic establishment.

We love the food at Del Mare but it is impossible to get a reservation. I went online to make a reservation for the week of 7/27. Their online system allowed me to select a date and the number of people. There is also a spot for comments. I received a call back asking if I was looking for tonight (the caller did not know what day or many people I was looking for). Apparently, they can only see what you write in the comment section. Keep that in mind, diners, when using the online reservation tool. I was informed that there no openings until September. Cancellation spots only is what I was told. Great for the restaurant but tough for diners!!
