I had the porcheta which was average at best My spouse had the steak special which was pretty good.The vodka martini ( Kettal one )was &13 plus $4 for the ex dry vermouth which I thought was high The crème brûlée was awful the custard was soupy and the torched sugar was virtually non existent

We had a lovely meal at Pate's. The service was excellent...I am sorry I don't recall our server's name.He was skilled and had a great sense of humor. Drinks and apps were creative and tasty...the beet salad was a piece of art.....so nicely plated. The shrimp cocktail had 5 huge shrimp. A flat iron steak was very good, as was the potato encrusted cod.

The host put our party of two next to a table of six who were obnoxiously loud and drunk. There were other tables of two available that were near other tables of two who looked like they were enjoying themselves as they were seated in more appropriate areas of the restaurant. Our waiter however was very good, but appeared to have too many tables.

My family and I have been to Pate's many times over the years in our trips to Cape Cod. We love the restaurant and the service is always great. The menu was brand new this evening. Loved the dishes but there some desserts that it was disappointing were not available.

Went to Pate's for our 25th anniversary dinner and it was nothing special. Service was rushed, our food (pork chop & scallops) was overcooked, and the restaurant did nothing to recognize that we were there for a milestone occasion. Overall a disappointing experience for what had been planned to be a special night out.

Jeannie was professional and friendly with our group of 6. The food was delicious and plentiful. I have no reservations recommending Pate's to anyone. The seafood was so fresh and expertly prepared

We had the seafood pasta for $52. The issues was there was very little seafood in one of the most expensive dishes on the menu. The lobster claws were the smallest I've ever seen. For seafood maybe go to Impudent Oyster.

I had one of the best dinners that I have ever had in my life. I had the spinach salad with salmon. Everything about it was divine. We sat at the bar and the service was perfect. My husband and I are looking forward to going back soon.

⸻ I've been coming to Pates since childhood, and it has always been a special place for me. When my husband and I eloped three years ago, we chose Pates for our wedding dinner. This past Saturday we returned to celebrate our anniversary — something we noted in our reservation — but not once was our special occasion acknowledged, which was disheartening given how deliberately we chose to celebrate here. Service was lackluster from the start; it took a very long time just to get water. On the positive side, the clam chowder was as delicious as ever, and my paper plane cocktail was excellent. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his scallops. Unfortunately, my white bolognese was a major disappointment — dry, flavorless, and reminiscent of reheated hamburger helper rather than the refined dish I expected. Hoping dessert might redeem the evening, I tried the espresso chocolate mousse, but it too fell flat — dense and bland, more like unflavored pudding than an airy mousse. Pates has always held a cherished place in my life, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I truly hope this was an off night, because the legacy of this restaurant deserves better consistency and attention to detail.

The entree that I so look forward to and have gotten numerous times was not up to par. It was very salty. It was an expensive dish and I was very disappointed. I told our server who told the chef/management. They “disagreed” with me, which was an odd response back to me. So I can tell you I won't be having that dish again and not sure I want to go back to Pates in the near future. The service was a bit frustrating as we don't mind waiting but ask us if we would like a drink while we are waiting!
