They was convenient but don’t know the actual name bc it clearly has Webb many business before. They don’t make anything fresh let’s start there and I knew I wasn’t tripping like it all looks recooked from the day or days before and I don’t get how they can do that. All empanadas beef or chicken have more potato then meat I left my cup one day and they said it wasn’t there mind you I went back to get it and they was closed but was supposed to be opened. Seems they move on whatever schedule they feel like. And just reheats food once I saw they don’t wrap up the food in the containers and nothings labeled I knew not to orders that as well
The place looks clean, I give them that. But the food is meh!
I went on 3/9/26 around 8 am asked for an order of the mini arepas and specifically asked for a Piece of cheese, and arepa con queso and a hot chocolate, I didn’t see the person put cheese in so I asked “did you include the cheese?” She replied yes. She put in a small container of what tasted like sour cream. 😑 and the hot chocolate DID NOT taste like hot chocolate. The Arepa con queso was Very disappointing.

Do not eat at Café El Dorado Bakery (241 Broadway, Chelsea, MA). I bought a croissant there on October 28, 2025, around 1:43 PM, and gave half of it to my one-year-old before realizing it was covered in black mold. The taste was terrible, and when I opened it, the inside was completely spoiled.
When I went back, the customer service was rude and disrespectful — they didn’t take responsibility at all. I’ve already filed a formal complaint with the Chelsea Health Department for a food safety violation.
I’m clearly not the only one — look at the other reviews. This place should be inspected immediately.

Really wide selection of baked treats and some fresh savory meats and rice and such as well.
It’s fully accessible with a ramp inside, and plenty of seating.
Service was fast and friendly.

I asked if they had iced tea. I was told 'yes'. I was served a cup of room temperature water with a teabag of green tea. The tea had not even been steeping; just a cup of water with a tea bag. I ordered a croissant; the croissant was wrapped in a plastic bag; it did not look as if it had recently come out of the oven. Indeed it was dry, tough, lacked flavor. The prices were low. I think these glowing reviews are for a different version of this cafe.
The atmosphere: a very large TV screen playing Spanish dance scenes with very loud music. We asked for the sound to be turned down (we were the only customers), and the server did so. Which helped.
My companion ordered a chicken empanada. She took one bite and set it aside.
Perhaps there are new owners since all these two-year old rave reviews were written,

Very nice overall. One of the best bakeries in town, this place is just so nice. The pasteries are very good and the food is really good as well. I will recommend this place for anyone who wants a quick breakfast or just something to feed the soul ?
