Started the mimosa flight and Some like it Tot appetizer, both were very good.
We had three entrées, the Monster breakfast, Meg’s American burrito, and both came with home fries. Both of those entrées were very good, but I had the Monte Madame which consisted of a French toast croissant stuffed with diced ham and Gruyere Gouda blend and then served with a cheese sauce, topped with an over easy egg, and chipotle sauce. It was DIVOON!!!! I’m still thinking about it. The customer service was wonderful and the interior of the place was eclectic with a great vibe.
Rubber pancakes, watery coffee, and Eggs Benedict with the consistency of soup. Indifferent service.
I ordered the eggs benedict with salmon. It came with potatoes and was a good portion size. The service was wonderful and attentive. My food arrived promptly as ordered and everything tasted great! The restaurant had a fun vibe.
I was in this morning, Staff was extremely friendly , I see where they get the name. I really recommend the chicken cordon blue benny!
This is a pretty cafe with nice breakfast - we had the avo on toast. Staff were friendly. We have to mention though that it was very difficult to eat the breakfast with the flimsy plastic cutlery you had to use, which for us means a lower rating.
We also disapproved of the amount of plastic waste generally - even the cups for water were disposable plastic. Being from the UK we are confused why this is the norm in so many places - don’t businesses care about the planet at all? We are used to businesses doing a bit of washing up!
Lastly toilets were dirty… they should be checked on more often, even if they are part of the main building.
great food but took a long time to come
Great breakfast spot, worth the wait. Lots to choose from on the menu. Cocktails too!
I sat down ordered avocado toast and then five things to go
The waitress was very bubbly and personable.
All the food was prepared very well.

Went here to brunch with friends and brought my 4 year old along and just want to say NATALIE was our server and she was absolutely amazing. We weren’t really greeted in a friendly manner by the man working the front but once Natalie got to us we completely forgot about that! She was consistently checking on us (5 adults and 1 child) and she did not miss a beat! Thank you so much Natalie for making our experience unforgettable.

The guy at the front, maybe the manager? was a dick about letting me hold on to my black coffee while in the restaurant citing potential allergens as a reason. Black coffee. I even offered to pay for a cup of coffee in order to hold on to my coffee, literally just keep it with me until I was finished. He was a real douche about it and a terrible customer service experience.

Delicious food and excellent service!! We shared the French Toast sticks with hot jam, I definitely recommend them for a sweet start! I had the vegan scramble--excellent. The vegan sausage has great flavor. My daughter loves their grilles cheese. Their cocktails are excellent. I recommend the cocktail flights. I've tried them all-very fun way to have a drink!
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian option and vegan options available.
Dietary restrictions: Lots of GF options
Parking: Mall parking at Burlington and Dedham and Chestnut Hill
Kid-friendliness: Have been several times with my kids. The busy eclectic decor is great for playing "I Spy" while you wait for your food.

Very disappointing visit. The toast came with no butter or topping. My wife's Benedict was cold. The sausage for my meal was really good. The bacon was somehow flavorless. The waitress was mentally checked out. Guess she didn't want to be there. The basic take away for me was it was pretty much all highly processed unhealthy crap. Would not go back. Oh getting a drink refill on coffee or tea was not happening. Not so bottomless. Unless you think one small cup is bottomless. Find another place if you want a half decent breakfast.

The Friendly Toast used to be my go-to spot, but lately, it feels like things have changed, maybe due to new management. The food isn’t as tasty, and the portions have noticeably shrunk. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but it’s hard to ignore that a simple omelet now costs $20. Unfortunately, The Friendly Toast just isn’t what it used to be.
