Usually when you go to breakfast spots, food comes out pretty quick. Well, when you come here, be prepared for a front staff that seems lost, and a kitchen staff so slow you could probably go to wegmans and back with a full van of groceries before they deliver your dish to the table.
Was the food worth the wait? No, not in the slightest. Was it worth the price? Not at all.

No complaints here. Food was good, place was fun and pretty kid friendly. Bourbon iced coffee was great.

Nice wait staff, clean, ok environment. Food is consistently not good. I suspect it’s more to do with cheap ingredients, rather than how it is prepared.

The food and service and atmosphere were good.
But I ordered an extra piece of French toast and when I looked at my receipt they charged me am extra 11dollars for an extra piece of French toast
I was shocked!!! 😲
Do the math 11x a loaf of bread is over $200

We came in to a long wait we were disappointed we didn’t make a reservation however once we got on the wait our table was called fast. Our server Nicole was extremely attentive and kind , we had allergies that were ran by a well dressed Chef who asked if we needed anything. I thanked the manager John for a great day and he was ecstatic about how much we enjoyed it. Really impressed we will be back again. I recommend the hash quiche.

Friendly Toast, the well known brunch location in Boston, now in many locations.
Many excellent choices. I always choose Egg Benedict for brunch, because it is usually the most technical dish. Chicken Le Cordon Bleu benny was delicious, poached eggs were perfectly done. Only issue, the food was very like warm, and the plate was not warm either. Wish it could be hotter.

This was the experience of a life time I’m so glad me and my family went here for my birthday. Alex H was our server and she was the best she was so accommodating and sweet as we need to get in and out to make it to an appointment. I highly recommend this place and their service!

So good staff. Menu is very limited and not that exciting. Better for breakfast or brunch after a night of heavy drinking. Perfect place for Hair of the Dog.
10/1/25 : Went for breakfast. Food was awful. Cold hash browns, only 1 piece of cold soggy toast. All other diners give 2 slices. Waitress / Bartender was excellent. Hostess was very nice but you ain’t going here because of staff.
2 stars out of 5.
Breakfast items are always great. Burgers, I prefer mine seasoned, these were not, but cooked the way I asked. Atmosphere is great. Even the bathrooms are clean and decorated with art. Wait staff is always friendly and attentive. They often have movies playing on the TV sets at the bar, but the bartender is willing to change it if you ask.

Most overrated establishment I've been to within Boston. I don't know why people wait hours on end to go to here. My friends and I wanted to celebrate the end of our semester with a nice brunch, But we were unable to do so because of their reservation policy. We had nine people ready to be seated and they Still made us wait for over an hour until the last person had arrived.
I've ate at this establishment before and I was highly disappointed in not only The wait time but the way the host had treated us. Boston isn't necessarily known for it's mannerisms when it comes to the food business, but this experience still stands out months later. The host Looked at me with disgust and clear annoyance Even though my group waited patiently and politely outside.
By the time are tables were ready nobody in my group even wanted to eat here.
All that being said, if you do decide to wait an outrageously long time and possibly be dissapointed by overpriced food and sub par service. I'd reccimend the chicken and waffles.
I never plan on stepping foot inside a friendly toast again after this experience, especially with so many better options around the city
