The Chestnut Hill store has become a miserable experience. Stockers crowd the aisles & abandon their wagons in tight spots for ages. No matter what time or day I go, I find depleted shelves everywhere. Their fish has always been very good but they're no longer competitive with other high quality fish purveyors like WF or Legal. They keep moving produce locations around. They're very lax about displaying prices, especially for produce. Organic produce is of iffy quality and not abundant, and exorbitantly priced. (example: seeded cucumbers--conventional today were $.79 apiece, organic were more than double at 2 for $3.99. Items (non-produce) are very often shelved at 6 feet from the ground. Bins labelled "organic" hold conventional produce. Whew. Exhausting, unpleasant place.

I came here on a post-Thanksgiving grocery run. First, beware of the produce they put on display at the front of the store. It ALL had expiration dates within 48 hours of the day I came. When I went foraging in the back of the produce section, lo and behold, expiration dates a full week later. Magic! The store was very crowded and messy from all the customers treating the bins and shelves like a toilet bowl. Store staff seemed obsessed with working the cash registers and not so much with cleaning up the mess. Prices were ridiculously high and sale items were still overpriced. You would think that the string beans were grown by Loius Vuitton and the granola was a limited edition by Gucci. Prepared food items were nothing special and parking was a challenge given the crowds. Next time I'll be shopping at Shaw's or Stop and Shop which suck and are a ripoff too, but at least they don't aspire to being the Neiman Marcus of supermarkets. Ick!

Very disappointed with Wegman's Chestnut Hill location. My husband, daughter and I went in their spirits store to purchase some alcohol for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday and the cashier would not allow us to purchase any of it unless we all produced IDs. Now of course I am totally on board with being carded if you are the one buying alcohol. My husband had his license and I was more than willing to get mine out of the car, but it was pointless because he wanted an ID from my 16 year old daughter as well, who doesn't even drive! Here's are my issues, he was rude and took way too much joy in turning us away. Secondly, we have not had this issue before at Wegman's, so at least be consistent with your rules! I will not be returning there. Market Basket Spirits is much cheaper with much better customer service!

Miserable store, filled with miserable and rude employees. Zero organization to the store, with many items straight up out of stock for weeks. Other Wegmans locations are significantly better. If you live in this area just skip this one and go to Star Market down the street.

Produce is generally very good. I really like this store in Chestnut Hill as it's clean and cheerful - especially compared to some of the options in Brookline. Inflation has indeed hit hard this year, but Wegman's seems to have REALLY taken advantage of it. The prices there seem to rise more each week. Today I went and got my daughter a prepared food dish, which we used to do pre-COVID pretty regularly and eat there. Now, the eat-in area is gone & the hot food bar is $16.99/lb!!! Totally outrageous. That'll be the last time we do that, unfortunately. I am considering doing most of my shopping at Market Basket now and just buying produce and a couple of items at Wegman's, moving forward. I think they are gouging prices based on the wealthy neighborhood they're in.

I liked the store in Natick but it's gone. There are others but not close enough. Unless there's a closer store I'll need to skip it

I love grocery shopping. When I travel, I often go to the local grocery store to see what is popular. Because we were missing a few items for the upcoming week, it was the perfect opportunity to indulge in grocery shopping. What? DId I just say that? I asked that we go to a Wegmans rather than the grocery stores closer to where I was staying because it is my favorite. I actually championed for a Wegmans in SE Michigan. There is a prepared foods section but the one here is much smaller than others that I've visited. I like the deli counter, though the selection was not as great, but I thought that the service was prompt and friendly. The bakery was above average and I appreciated the large variety of ice cream flavors. They had both McConnell's and Jeni's brands, among more recognizable brands. Prices in this more exclusive area in Mass is comparable to those in Michigan.

I LOVE Wegmans. I's teetering close to the #1 ranking, Trader Joe's, and certainly beats out, in terms of overall price/accessibility/shopping experience, Shaw's, Star Market, Safeway, Market Basket. Especially having previously lived in Manhattan where grocery shopping is a full-on contact sport, having beautifully wide aisles and extra elbow room is an unequivocal luxury. Wegmans is a veritable treasure trove. My favorite items to get here: bacon cheddar turkey patties for my husband, the sliced Kobe roast beef, the prepared foods like a chicken Caesar wrap for a quick lunch, the cranberry walnut cream cheese spread. The only downer I've gotten is the Wegmans brand eggplant hummus - the taste and texture were super weird and I couldn't finish it. I've lucked out and had only good experiences with the produce I buy here, though I do make sure to inspect it carefully. Cherries, bananas, grapes, apples - all great here! I do wish they had the big-sized watermelons out more, instead of the puny mini ones. The bakery items look super tempting, especially the layered peach cake they have during the summer. Just a note that their return policy is a little more absolute than TJs - a receipt and it has to be unopened. Convenient location and I've never had to search all that hard for parking. Lines for self-checkout are manageable. They also brought back seating at the front for food.

Denise the cashier was extremely rude while we were trying to buy a bottle of wine. She gave us attitude because she saw we looked younger and made us go to three different cashier registers before checking us out. Unfortunately for her, she checked our IDs and saw we were all of age and she couldn't get off on trying to kick us out. Definitely would not recommend coming to this Wegmans if you want to have good customer service.

Great location, selection and value! Highly recommend them to everyone I know. Excellent wine and bourbon selections.

Curbside Pickup at Wegmans has a low minimum of $10 and no fee. Substitutions ring up at the new price, while Stop and Shop gives you the substitute at the cheaper price, but charge a $2.95 fee for Pickups with a minimum order size of $30. Star Market has the same $30 minimum, but no fee, and charge the price of the substitution. Their curbside pickup option is called Drive up & Go.Drive in and around where they have several spots saved for Curbside. Then let them know that you are there by clicking the link provided. They'll roll it right out and load up your trunk for you! And in a pandemic world where tipping is everywhere and expectations have risen, there is no option to tip on this app! I hope they are paying their grocery pickers a decent hourly wage.PS - I belatedly realized that prices for Wegmans Drive up & Go is a bit higher than that for in store shopping.

Large supermarket.Great alcohol selection. Excellent food selection. No more seating for food/coffee, unfortunately.Still an excellent grocery store with professional staff and one heck of a wine collection.

1. More expensive than Natick Branch2. Food stalls more expensive and less ingredients3. Bad service, Youll ask for help and the workers just keep their backs to u4. Long wait lines at cashier, they need more cashiers.5. Missing half the products I need when coming here6. Salads usually brown lettuce usually because out too long.7. Low variety of goods in every department unless you love pop tarts.8. Meat way too expensive9. International section lacking, they took a lot of the best stuff out awhile back10. Too many ppl. If you have issues with a lot of people this is not the place 4 uIt was a good store when it first opened and a few years later., I can deal with the amount of ppl there but Since the pandemic it is a terrible experience. They were still wearing masks well after their Natick branch stopped wearing them. I just go to the Natick Branch instead even though that ones been going down hill a bit also. Trader joes, Market basket much better alternatives imo

I get the cost of food is increasing, and I'm aware portion sizes are decreasing but someone needs to weigh the fish properly. This is joke. Natick location was better.
