Went there yesterday and grabbed take out. Fast, friendly service and the food was delish! Highly recommend.
This was an incredible and unique food experience! So many different flavors, plenty for leftovers, and a fair price for the quality. Will be back very soon!
I went here excited to try the food due to all the vegan options they had. I ordered the noodles, curry lentils and rice. The noodles was good, the curry lentil was incredibly undercooked. I had to cook them when I got home. On top of that she forgot my jasmine rice. When I had called to let her know she just said i got you next time.. i’m never in chicopee and i was just served undercooked food. I didn’t tell her it was undercooked because I really wanted my money back for not even getting the rice i paid for. She said she doesn’t know how to do refunds and that it’s just $5. I will not return here and I guess keep the $5 for serving me undercooked food. Dissapointed since the lentils is what she recommended me.

Really flavorful Sri Lankan food. I walked in and realized an older woman was cooking, and I knew it would be good food. It creeps under the radar in Chicopee, but don’t be fooled, this is among the best food the city has to offer.

They had a food truck at the brewery last weekend and that was the first time I tried their food. It's a 10/10. Not too spicy . Perfect. The chicken taco was good n the curry chicken over rice was amazing

The food truck menu didn't state that there was curry in the chicken tacos. I'm allergic to coconut. Because it didn't state it I thought I was OK. Nope.

You have to try this place. The food is delicious, the owners and staff are helpful and nice, and the portions are very generous. I am sad that I have never had Sri Lankan food until this point in my life, because it is fantastic. So flavorful, zesty, and aromatic. I tried the rice noodles with shrimp last night and my husband, who does not like seafood, said “this makes me like shrimp.” I have enjoyed the chicken rolls, chicken curry, lentil curry - there is not a single dish I would not order again. Please support this wonderful local business bringing new flavors to the community!

Chicopee is rich in ethnic diversity. So it is not surprising that a Sri Lankan restaurant would open here. The enterprising couple also do catering and have a food truck. Looks like the restaurant is geared to takeout (which I did), but there are six or eight spartan but clean tables. They are currently open 7 days a week spanning the lunch and early dinner hours. Thanks to a fraternity brother who married a lovely lady from the island half a century ago, I have some familiarity with the cuisine. While there is some commonality with what we think of as Indian cuisine, it is certainly a country with a proud and ancient history combining and creating some distinctively different dishes. For a first tasting, I ordered two "signature kottus", shrimp and chicken. They were cooked to order. With chopped paratha roti, a mild curry, plenty of diced vegetables, southeast Asian spices and the optional egg, it is a hearty and healthy main course. Next time,I will try the Mulligatawny and Lentil Soups. A nice edition to the local culinary landscape.
We went for dinner and tried quite a few of our favorite Sri Lankan dishes. Starting from fish rolls, chicken patisse, fish cutlets, Lentil vade. Then we had chicken Biriyani, chicken koththu, veggie fried rice with Lentil curry and Eggplant moju. Didn’t forget a yummy Falooda as well. My youngest got French fries. The owner made us a yummy ginger milk tea as we were driving home 1 1/2 hours. We loved the food, couldn’t finish so got leftovers for tomorrow! Thank you Island Spice team for a wonderful dinner service :) All the very best from a fellow Sri Lankan!
