Overall I was very disappointed with my experience at this location. I was so excited to try because I love a good burger and there aren’t many places near me that I enjoy. My mouth was watering while looking at the simple menu and the pictures that went along with the options. I couldn’t wait to dig in but the experience was ruined early on. I placed my order and was happy to see it would be ready in about 12min. I immediately left because I live about 10min away. Upon arrival, I just kinda stood there waiting to be acknowledged for 5 min. The Friendly’s Host seated some girls and then never came back. I was only acknowledged after forcibly making eye contact with someone in the back. I was told my food was being bagged and would be provided shortly. I could see a woman opening up the branded boxes and immediately I knew I was not going to be happy. The fries just looked sad…and for them to cost $5 and look like that….I was unamused, I asked the woman if that was normal and she said yes ?. I was handed a warm bottle of coke ?. I could feel that the burger wasn’t hot, despite arriving on time, but I don’t like sending food back. When I got home, I opened up the burger and more disappointment set in. I’ve never known a place to use spicy mustard and in that volume, I scraped off enough from on/around the burger to make 2 more. The onions were piled on the bottom with mayo and there was only cheese on one burger patty ?. But still, I carried on. I put the fries in the air fryer and tossed in Cajun Seasoning. I told myself, it was gonna be ok as long as the burger was good. ? it tasted like nothing, the meat had no flavor, the only thing that stood out was the fresh white onion, pickle and ketchup…you wouldn’t know anything else was on the burger if not for texture. They were hefty patties but did not deliver on taste. For this to cost $16, I should’ve just went across the street to 5 Guys. I can’t speak for the brand but I will not be returning to this location. I’ll try the one out of On the Border in West Springfield…maybe they’ll deliver a better experience!
Vegetarian options: They have the impossible burger as an option.
Parking: It’s a shared location, located within Friendly’s but they only do pick-up.
